5. Dustin

I’m probably crazy for liking this shot of Dustin as much as I do, but I think he did a great job of embodying the brief. He looks so athletic and I love the sense of motion and fluidity he’s bringing to the pose (although he did lose a bit of his height). This is also the strongest his face has been; his eyes are full of determination and he proved that he could pull off an angle other than his profile. In fact, if he had straightened upward to show the clothes a bit better he might have even hopped into my Top 3. As much as I love Dustin’s photo, I wasn’t upset at all with him being sent home since he lacked drive and was continually lost on set. It’s just a bit odd that they sent him home when he finally showed some true potential in a photo.

#8 – Nyle

This shot just sort of feels inconsequential to me. Nyle hasn’t massively failed in any single aspect, but has just sort of done enough to get by. The whole thing is just forgettable. The pose is sort of extreme, but just feels weak in commitment. His face is the exact same as normal, and lacks the drive others had to make the movements feel convincing. I do like that he tried to physically connect with the vet, but again the blank stare stops it from becoming meaningful. It is adequate enough to work as a fashion ad, even if those style of pants are literally the worst piece of clothing ever to be conceptualised.

3. Nyle

Nyle finally lived up to his potential and didn’t just rest on his looks this week! His face is fully engaged with the camera and his eye contact is piercing even in the wide shot. I love how he’s elongating himself to fill up as much of the frame as possible, and while his pose may not be the most dynamic of the week it still feels sporty enough to fulfill the brief. The clothes look awesome on him as well! It’s a fantastic shot of Nyle, it just doesn’t have as much of a wow factor as the Top 2 this week.

6. Justin

Justin pulled off a simple, but really cool pose. I like all of the angles of his limbs and the clothes look fantastic on him. The casual, chill vibe from his body language is great. The only problem I have is that his face doesn’t really match the pose. While he does look handsome as always, he also looks really concerned about something, which just doesn’t fit the brief. If he had applied the suave expression from his previous shot this could’ve been really amazing.

1. Mamé

Mamé floored me with this photo! She struck a magical balance between being controlled and being wild. The hair flip is so flawless and dynamic, yet her face is so calm and collected while simultaneously retaining intense eye contact. She even found her light while being in motion and her bone structure is stunning. The strong, grounded pose is so powerful and she’s modeling the heck out of everything she’s wearing. Mamé perfectly blended sports with fashion better than anyone else this week, and for that she earns the top spot in my call-out.

4. Devin

Devn’s leap is definitely eye-catching! It makes him look athletic and really showcases the clothes well. I love the strength of his face and how he held things back and didn’t go comically overboard like last week. I do have some issues with his robotic arm/hand positions and the fact that he lost his neck entirely, but the strong points of his shot overpower the weak components. Devin really excelled in this photoshoot and it paid off with a terrific final picture!

2. Lacey

Lacey looks incredible in this shot! I love how it looks like she just got done with a workout and is doing some fabulous cool-down stretches. The pose really maximizes her height and works brilliantly to showcase all of the clothes. Her body language is chock full of sass and it shows in her face as well. Her features look amazing straight on and her new haircut really suits her here. Lacey delivered a very simplistic, badass shot, and I wasn’t mad at her at all for receiving the FCO at panel.

7. Courtney

I think Courtney’s shot is pretty great from the waist up. Her face in particular is fantastic: her cheekbones are crazy amazing and she looks so powerful and confident. Unfortunately, her lower half drags this down. The leg position is ungainly and somewhat shortens her. I will say that she’s showcasing the clothes well at least! It’s a good shot of Courtney, and if she had fixed the flaws from the waist down she would’ve cracked my Top 5.
