1. Jaslene
I actually agreed with the judges giving Jaslene FCO this week. This is a powerful photograph. Jaslene’s eyes are smoldering and her bone structure looks amazing here. She legitimately looks like she just executed someone and is waiting for the next person to come in. Her pose is simple and tough, plus I love how her body is slightly off at an angle. In a mostly disappointing week, Jaslene stood out enough to claim the top spot.
1. Jaslene
I originally thought this shot was a bit overrated but it really is the strongest of the week. Jaslene got an unusual outfit but she rocked it. She managed to look tall, she totally got the message across and there’s so much tension in her hands. Then her face is perfection. Those powerful smoldering eyes beautiful bone structure are just shining. She delivered fashion and brief and she totally rocked. She gets a well deserved FCO from me.
2. Brittany
Brittany got the most fashionable concept by far but nonetheless, she delivered. The snooty but almost stoic expression works so well for her outfit. She didn’t let all the fur swallow her and she also worked her legs and shoes well. I love her long neck too. She did a great job and started off her portfolio with a very strong photo.
3. Felicia
The top 3 were just miles above everyone for me in both performance on set and results. Felicia’s face looks gorgeous. The connection with the camera is great and she also managed to connect to the mannequin better than Samantha and Whitney did with each other. I like the kick of the dress to not make it look so stiff. Overall, she did a really good job. It’s just not as strong as Brittany and Jaslene’s shots.
4. Renee
Renee got a great outfit and she sold it well.Her look of fear and worry works with the peace anti-war concept. She looks more lost than vulnerable but that’s just me nitpicking. There’s also this weird tension in her mouth that I’m not a fan of but, minor detail. However, the look overall works and considering the results she did a pretty decent job.
5. Dionne
This is different to the rest of the shots. Dionne is almost seductive but it works. Her body looks good, even while sitting and I like the connection with the camera. She displayed the whole veggie necklace well and I totally get it. I like that she didn’t lose her neck despite going to the chin to shoulder thing. The tiny issues I have with this shot are her jaw looks a bit too big, but still beautiful. Lastly, and what I dislike most is the basic hand on the hip. Other than that, it’s a good picture, I’d say.
6. Jael
It’s honestly laughable that Jael ended up in the bottom 2 for this. She looks tall, her proportions are good, the dress looks good and she totally gets the message across. It’s not the powerful “you won’t get past me” kind of activist but she looks almost vulnerable which is still beautiful. I only wish she had more tension in her body to really make this a strong shot.
7. Samantha
Another dull photo. Samantha looks about as excited as the average high school freshman learning Algebra. Her eyes are kind of dead but I do like her body language. Her neck and jawline are just gorgeous. The slight curve in her body is nice and her features are very photogenic and the outfit looks decent. If she had just forged a better connection, she would be up like 2 spots in my callout.
