@cynxcism liked for a starter
“I-- ... well,” Heidi stammered a bit, trying to bring herself to talk about things. It’d been quite a while since she’d see her old group of friends, or any of the classmates she’d known since early in her childhood. The things she’d been going through had caused her to leave school, but she’d finally made her returned after being homeschooled for half of their sophomore year of school.
“I am really glad to be back. I know I sort of saw some of you guys around town, but I’m happy to see everyone at school again, you know? It feels better, to kind of not be as cut off from the rest of the student body.” Maybe now she could mend some of the relationships that had strained while her issues were in full swing.

It was just after ten in the morning when Achaka arrived to Daventry’s theater, where the knight hopefuls had been gathered by the royal guards. The extremely tall man, face hidden beneath his helm, gave off an intimidating air. Without the sight of his face, some of the squires looked up at the taller man in mild fear.
Oh, Stars-- if this was the head of the knights, what chance did some of they have in getting in? Boy, he sure did look cool, though.
“Presenting! The head of the royal knights, the honorable Achaka!” Royal Guard #1 announced the taller knight’s presence, earning himself a small nod of thanks as the purple clad companion of the King stepped up and onto the the stage.
Standing before the knight hopefuls, he glanced about them quietly. One, however, did end up catching his eye with his familiar color scheme to his outfit. A young man clad in red and blue, with a brown tunic. It was hard to not be reminded of his dear friend back when he’d first met him. Despite that, he did not let his gaze linger for long.
“Welcome,” The low toned but projected voice began, “We all here for Knight Tournament.” There was a thick accent to Achaka’s, voice, making it clear that the knight definitely had not been originally from Daventry. For some it was difficult to understand him, but Achaka spoke to the best to his abilities.
From the entrance, with all of the knight hopeful’s backs to him, a couple of royal guards were beginning to escort the young king instead of the theater, hoping not to garner too much of a fuss before he’d be the one to explain the Knight Tournament’s entry ticket situation.
Graham would be escorted toward the stage, catching Achaka’s eye as they approached. The scrawny boy didn’t wear his crown for now-- so, the young man looked like nothing more than a squire himself, or perhaps a new knight.

If there weren’t enough troubles in mind, when it came to studying and an irrigated mother - another new issue reminded that he’s yet involved in other storylines. There was no connection of him to the situation, but rather a choice whenever to take a step or not - a test of caring, and the redhead was planning to get a perfect score in it.
It hasn’t passed too long since the last call of an unexpected person. To be listening to the concerns of a worried mother of a man, that happened to be his best friend. It was not her fault, but only stated failure at convincing to bring down a solution to a stubborn, raven boy - and now only trust could be bet on, to be put upon the redhead’s shoulders, as he knew Stan best.
The other dropped out of college, throwing future so easily, as if a paper ball to the trash.
Only that thought made Kyle furious, letting out a hot, firm breath, nerves betraying the belief they’ve put onto the friend. When promising own future was the most important thing for own, couldn’t such thing even cross his mind, that his best friend wouldn’t continue on the same route as his - or that he wouldn’t be able to meet him, at the end of the same road.
Backpack dropped over floor with his return from university, he spent no time and no little thought of pity, before heading up straight to the Marsh residence. Dominant with own choices, he didn’t even spend time giving a knock over the door, opening it himself as the door was expectantly unlocked.
The sight of a kid playing video games was the first to greet him, adding more fuel to the anger that flamed within heart, that anger that existed only because of a worry and caring toward his friend.
“ What the hell are you doing ? ”
@cynxcism ! CONT.
Stanley [ SENT 3:03 AM ] : Actually, Stan, it’s been up to debate if the brain actually named itself. Stanley [ SENT 3:04 AM ] : Some people say it took several bodies for the brain to actually be called the brain. Some sort of electrical impulses of thought for it to happen. Stanley [ SENT 3:05 AM ] : But, besides that, Stan it’s 3 am. Shouldn’t you be asleep ?
