Marmalade "Dandy" Amberberry Halfling, Bard of Dance
I'm still not over the new D&D UA. Spells not critting?? Auto-success on a nat 20 on skill checks??? Inspiration being RAW????? Like what in the fuck was going on there? Like there are some good changes, I like the whole background system they have going on. Further decoupling your stats from your race is great, and feats at first level are honestly a home rule I would've adapted in the future anyway. But like damn, some of those changes are just not good.
In order to allow us to still use HP values in our D&D campaign, my feytouched bard of lore able to see into the Weave to view people's health bars - literally, seeing a bar to indicate remaining HP.
I've used this logic to talk my way into an Arcana roll that let her metagame.
I was playing d&d last night with friends and a tavernkeeper asked us to help break up a fight.
When my bard, Amaterasu, failed Command: Grovel, I immediately readied to shoot Vicious Mockery and one of my teammates, before I even said anything, just grabbed Amaterasu and clamped a hand over her mouth.
I love having reliable teammates because we all know I'm not one. :3
