i love how misleading the title 'the duel' is, as if there's only one duel and then they stop. i fucking wish.
they just will not stop. whatever happens, they keep going. the only thing that stopped them from duelling was literally napoleon's most disastrous campaign. after the wars, they still keep going. d'hubert literally just saved feraud from being executed with the specific purpose of probably duelling him again. what the fuck.
