Talevember 2024 Day Fifteen: D.o.I.E.

You ever stop to think that P.I.E. has made so many enemies within the paranormal community that there’s an organization whose sole purpose is to destroy P.I.E.? Like, P.I.E. isn’t even the best paranormal investigation agency out there, yet so many entities and interdimensional beings have vowed to get rid of them. To be fair, I’m sure it has to do with Dark Calculus being salty that P.I.E. (mainly Ghost and Toast) has ruined his plans on more than one occasion, and is therefore trying to get others to help him with payback, but still.

From an outsider’s perspective, it’s probably confusing as to why P.I.E. has a target on their backs. But then you stop to think, and it kinda makes sense? A lot of the reoccurring hauntings P.I.E. handles is due to certain entities holding grudges and not wanting to move on (e.g. Maxwell Acachalla, the Toilet Toucher), so it makes sense said entities now hold a grudge against P.I.E.

It’s interesting that an alternate reality’s version of Ghost is part of D.o.I.E., but that makes Johnny Cranky all the more intriguing. (Wish we could’ve seen more of him, but oh well.) Like, what are his motives, and why does he want P.I.E. destroyed? It’s cool seeing everyone’s take on Cranky, as there’s not much to go off of from canon. Honestly, I don’t see him getting along with the other members of D.o.I.E., so there’s gotta be something he wants with P.I.E. being gone…

8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in

Very sad to say this happened to several project ideas i had which I canned rly bad. I am trying not to give up on most of the ones I have left, but a lot of them were left to gather dust. Mostly when I was in my Yume nikki fangame era I wanted to churn out a bunch of different things.

Although the biggest one has to be D.I.E. (Define/Definite Intentional Existence). I don’t want to give up on the concept of it, and want to refresh it, but definitely would not be a game, at least not unless someone helps me make it. It was supposed to be a RPG game where you play as D.I.E., an Idea stuck in the Hyperuranion plane, a metaphisical plane of existence between our world and the Heavens. The Hyperuranion is overseen by Demiurgos. D.I.E. wants to get out and become ‘real’ - which it will at all costs considering she is violent to the core.

Here is some assets from it. Maybe one day it’ll come back in full swing. (I was making it in RPGMaker2k3)

21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways

This is really tough. I like to think a lot of art styles are different from my own except the ones I clearly drew inspiration from. I think the most basic answer is like, classical art paintings LMAO.

Mostly impressinionistic art, as well as art noveau (which has level of details I can only wish of achieving) are some of my favourites. I’m also a big fan of Medieval vignettes which often contain funny little guys. I find them very very charming.
