my first thought is that everyone becomes sick and tired of them breaking up and getting back together. mika being hot and cold, convincing herself that if it was meant to be she’d know.

maybe a period where they insist on just being friends since it’s clearly not working, but they still somehow sabotage each others relationships. all over the course of years. every guy knows that there’s no really getting mika because she’s in denial of where her heart is. eren earning a similar reputation too of course- the misconception being that he’s not a womanizer, he’s hung up on her. they’re “ready” for each other, commitment, whatever, at different times, out of sync, until finally..?

hihi EB! i know the recent chapter just came out (still reeling /pos) and i don’t mean to push for second chances content, but man that fic has been on my mind! i bet this might all come up later, but was wondering if you have any hc’s for mom!mikasa, parental aruani since they’re expecting, or how the rest of the crew feels about having kids? :)

I hope Second Chances and dilf!Jean is rotting your brain just as much as mine >:) gahhh this is such a fun question, thank you for this idea! This is actually important to think about for my fic so I went full throttle <3 Mom!Mikasa

She plays HARD. She'll go out to the playground with Mason and come back home just as dirty and dusty as him while all the other parents sit back with their strollers and watch.

But she also loves little domestic activities with her son, like baking cookies (she does *not* let him eat raw cookie dough).

She can also be a strict mom - Mason has learned that hard way that his mom will not entertain questions like "can I get a candy bar?" while they're at the grocery check out line.

She definitely buys summer workbooks so Mason keeps learning over the summer.

By the time Mason is 12, Mikasa has made sure he does his own laundry - he's gotta be self-sufficient!

Absolutely nothing gets past Mom!Mikasa. There's no hiding vegetables under the table or skipping brushing teeth in the Ackerman household.

I can see Mikasa doing a lot of crafty art projects with Mason - coloring, teaching him how to sew, etc.

BLANKET FORTS. Especially on rainy/stormy nights.

Parental!Aruani

Annie is surprisingly more of a helicopter parent that Armin. She feels like she has to overcompensate because of her dad (she feels like she wouldn't be a good mom since she didn't have a good example of a parent), and Armin has to remind her to let the double A batteries breath (they will have names later but I shan't spoil them for now).

Annie teaches them self-defense - no bully will ever cross her children!

Parental Aruani can be a bit full of anxiety, but at the end of the day, they're great parents because they love their children so fiercely and want to raise them well.

When they're older, they pull their kids out of public school for a semester to travel the world as a family. Armin administers home school curriculum (their kids complain that Armin's a harder teacher than their public school).

Sasha & Niccolo

They really could go either way with kids - they'd be equally happy with or without them.

If they did have kids it'd only be 1-2 though.

Marco & Hitch

I think they'd have kids, maybe around 3-4.

Connie

I think Connie would have maybe two kids, but later in life after he's done being a goof and found the right person (I mean he's never really done being a goof, but ready to settle down).

Pieck & Porco

I actually don't think they'd have kids! I think they really like kids, but value their independence more. They're a great aunt and uncle to Reibert and Yumihisu's kid's.

Reiner & Bertolt

They definitely adopt! Reiner takes some convincing because he's nervous about being a good dad, but c'mon, Reiner would be the best dad! Because he'd be the dad he never had :')

I can see them adopting 2, maybe 3 kids.

Ymir and & Historia

OF COURSE they adopt a gazillion kids. By a gazillion I mean somewhere around six.

Every time Ymir says that's the last one, Historia convinces her "just one more and then I'll feel like our family is complete."

20. in what year did you publish your first fic?

In 2024, actually!! almost two years ago since it was January 2024 that I started Golden Cage, an OC x Jean fic that I have uhhh, since abandoned.

24. how do you recharge when you’re not feeling creative?

go for a walk!! clean something in my house!! but i make sure to not listen to anything - no music, no podcasts. That way, my brain can wander. I feel like it's also important to not have expectations that an idea will magically pop into your brain by doing these things, which is the hardest part.

29. how easy is it for you to come up with titles?

IT'S SO HARD WTF.

I will get an idea and write like crazy, I'm about to publish, and then I panic because I realize I never came up with a title - and I immediately go brain dead. I struggle with this every damn time I write a Second Chances chapter.

Like I'm pretty sure part of the reason my Reiner x reader smut didn't do as well is because I just called it "Neighbors" out of sheer panic lmao.

Jean and I love to have tea and reading nights, especially when it snows. Sometimes the tea is hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps, hehe. We also love winter hikes!! Throw on snow shoes and bundle up because there is no such thing as bad weather! (I don't actually have snow shoes but I aspire to someday). We hold hands with our mittens on <3 Jean has also really gotten into crafting and is crocheting me a new warm winter hat while I make soup for us on cold nights.

I've been sitting on this second question because it's so interesting and I needed time to think about it!!

Reader's relationship with Marcel is very much based off my first relationship in college. Short answer is that I chose to not make reader a collegiate athlete like I was. The longer answer is that similar to reader, we met in college, but we met because we were on the same competitive athletic team (albeit separated by men's and women's teams, but we all practiced together). We broke up after a year together, so it was HELLA AWKWARD for the remaining year we were still on the same team. Thank god he was a year older than me so I was relieved when he graduated. We'll get into what that looks like for reader and Marcel later. Reader can't have any specific physical characteristics, but I am REALLY SHORT. Like exactly the same height as Pieck (part of why I love JeanPiku so much), so I think Jean and I would develop some good banter about our height difference. This may also make certain activities difficult, if you know what I mean ;) I think Reader also has more restraint than me. I'd be full on crushing on Jean immediately, I have no self-control in my mind palace.

i really love that reader in second chances relates to jane bennet + basically that whole part about jane in your most recent chapter. i think for me it really helps emphasize jane’s “flaw” of being too reserved which can be hard to think of as a downside at all, and through readers eyes it was easier to see and very well done:)

I knew you'd love that part with our shared interest in Pride & Prejudice, hehe!!

When I did a reread for "homework," Jane stood out to me so much more, I found her more relatable than Lizzy. Who among us hasn't been terrified to come on too strongly to someone you have feelings for out of fear that you'll drive them away? It was very much a contributing factor as to why my first relationship didn't work out.

I also see it as an issue most of us struggle more with when we're younger, scared, and don't know what we're doing in romantic relationships. I found it much easier to be forward with my feelings after that experience, which I've absolutely projected onto reader's relationship with Jean. She's still nervous of course, but she's gonna make that man know exactly how she feels!!
