It was safe to say that Logan had seen some weird shit in his day. Hell, he’d probably seen even weirder shit than he knew about, considering the gaps in his memories. Still, every now and then, there was something especially fucking wild, something that threatened to take the cake altogether. Some asshole looking to turn the Hudson into a swamp for reasons Logan didn’t entirely understand? That was pretty far up there.
“This must be killin’ you,” he commented, glancing over to Emma with a brow raised. “No way in hell that white jumpsuit of yours is making it out of this shit unscathed. You know how to clean swamp slime outta that?” Of all the people in the mansion, it was safe to say he trusted Emma the least. She always had some sort of agenda, and Logan was sure now was no different. But, for the moment at least, he was willing to fight alongside her. (Maybe it had something to do with all those times he’d fallen into her bed in the past; he always did have a bad habit of letting his crotch have more of a say in matters than his head.)
Dodging a spray of swamp water -- what was the point of these fucking creatures, to ruin his hairdo? -- Logan winced. “Jesus. Can you get inside this asshole’s head already? I’d at least like to know what the hell he’s thinking.”
In the Red Room, Nadia had learned about all sorts of different superhero teams. The X-Men had been included among them, though the information the Red Room had on them seemed scarce. They knew that they were mutants, that their leader was a bald man in a wheelchair, and that the team lived in his mansion and taught at a school, but they didn’t know much of the team’s actual roster. It seemed to rotate often, expanding to include new members and shrinking when old ones left. Nadia, of course, found herself utterly fascinated by the mystery of it all.
She didn’t mean to break into the mansion. She was planning on coming in the old fashioned way and speaking to someone directly, but the man hovering outside the door seemed surly and angry, and knives came from his knuckles when she got close enough for him to realize she was there. The back door seemed a far safer bet, and Nadia was inside almost before she realized it. She wandered down the hall, looking for someone to speak to. Distracted by the photos lining the walls -- were these team members, students, or some mixture of the two? -- she didn’t see the person in front of her until they collided. Blinking at the blonde woman, Nadia offered her a smile. “Hello! Do you live here? Do you work here? I was hoping to speak to someone about this place! I don’t want to live here, but I’d love to know more about it! I’m not a mutant, but I do have superpowers! I could show you if you want?”
It turned out being a superhero was a little harder than it looked. No one was more surprised by this information than Scott, who’d sort of assumed it had to be pretty manageable considering the factors at hand. After all, Hank did it, and that guy definitely had a few screws loose. Even Tony could do it! It couldn’t be that difficult.
As it turned out, it was that difficult. Scott was a little bitter about it, ducking behind a car to avoid a hailstorm of bullets. “Be the Ant-Man, Scott! It’ll be fun, Scott! Nobody’s going to shoot you, Scott! What a load of horse shit.” Fiddling with his suit, he threw a miniaturized car at his attackers, allowing it to grow to size in the air.
Suddenly, he felt the presence of someone beside him, and he threw his hands up defensively. “If you’re gonna shoot me, be aware that I am a very important Avenger and the Hulk will be very mad if I die! We’re talking a personal vendetta here! He’ll hunt you down.” Yeah, probably not.

It was a sunny day at Hogwarts, a particularly warm one at that. The corridors and dining hall were completely barren as most of the students were spending any free time they had outdoors. The summer heat was addicting. It served as a nice change from the cold, dark dungeons that they sat in for class, hours at a time. Like most of his classmates, Colin relished the good weather and headed straight outdoors towards his preferred spot by the lake. Erin had taken a knack for pointing out his paleness over the past few weeks and it was about time he put an end to that.
As he neared the lake, Colin spotted the familiar brunette laying on the grass just beside a tree, soaking in the hot sun. “Hey there, little snake.” The Slytherin, whom was lying flat on her stomach, turned her head back in his direction with a slight smile. “Hello Colin.” She replied, patting the spot of grass beside her. As he got closer, Colin saw, much to his surprise, that she was wearing simply a two piece bathing suit and nothing else to cover her now-tan skin. His blue eyes quickly grazed over her figure and he felt his stomach tighten as he collapsed on the grass beside her.
“Hey, now that you’re here. Do you mind putting some of that lotion on my back?” She asked, peering up at him through her dark lashes. Emma motioned to the small bottle in the grass. Why did she tease him so? “Er…sure.” He nodded slowly, picking up the bottle of lotion that lay at his feet, fighting hard to avoid her gaze. Colin found it quite difficult to keep his composure while seated next to the barely-clothed girl. “Is that a problem, Finnigan?” Emma asked, her eyebrows knitting together as she looked up at him, picking up on his hesitation. “No, no of course not. I'll get it.” Colin scooped up the bottle in his hand and shifted himself on the grass so that he kneeled above her.
Her back was incredibly warm against the cool lotion that he was spreading across her shoulder blades with his large, calloused hands. Colin slowly rubbed the lotion all across her back, making sure to cover every inch of her skin. He was so focused on not letting his hands slip to other parts of her body that he nearly missed her question about his classes. “Hm? Oh yeah, they’re doing alright. Glad it’s almost over.” He answered shortly, wiping of a few of the white spots off of her lower back.
When he was finished he put the bottle to the side and resumed his previous position, wiping the remnants of the lotion from his hands. “Thanks. I appreciate it.” Emma grinned, pushing away strands of hair from her face as she looked back at him once more. “You’re such a gentleman.” She teased, shooting him a coy smile as she laid her head back down onto her arms. Colin couldn’t help but grin at the compliment, whether she really meant it or not. He was just relieved that he hadn’t managed to slip up and gotten hexed as a consequence. “I do what I can.” He replied with a wink before laying himself back on the warm grass just beside her. Colin spoke up after some time, an eager grin playing at his lips. “Are you sure you don’t want me to get your legs as well?” Emma turned ever so slightly to watch him for a few moments before shaking her head, smiling. “Maybe we’ll save that for another day, Finnigan.”
