❤❤❤❤ : Our characters on a date.
{ au : Yoonjo as Kaguya-hime }
“Yoonjo?”
The ginger quickly wipes away the newly shed tears. “Yes?” She perks up looking at Woohyun with a wry smile.
She has been acting so erractically lately. Woohyun took notice of her unusual behaviour. Even though he tried to get her on a date in hope he would have the chance to cheer her up, it still can’t help with anything. His plan doesn’t work perfectly.
“You don’t look well. What’s wrong?” He asks with concern. It’s confuses him. People often have a good time when they’re on a date right? Moreover, it was her 18th birthday last week. He thought she would be happy, not being this melancholic.
Yoonjo doesn’t know how to explain. She doesn’t want to make things clear either.
There’s one thing Woohyun isn’t aware of. Earth is not the place she truly belongs to. She is not of this world. On the fifteenth night of the first lunar month after she turns 18, during the full moon, she has to returns to the Moon and reunite with her people. Being sent to Earth is the punishment for her fault in the previous life. Time flies. Tomorrow is the day.
“I’ll get you ice cream? You like it right?” Woohyun stands up from his seat, lightly patting her cheeks.
“No. Don’t go.” She shakes her head, her voice starts shaking. “I don’t need ice cream. I don’t feel like eating anything now.” Grabbing his wrist she tries to hold him from walking away. Yoonjo doesn’t want to waste any second being without Woohyun. Her time is already running out.
She’s too indecisive to tell the story. Will he get hurt? Will he be disappointed? They’ve been together for almost a year. Those are the most beautiful days she’s ever had yet also her biggest mistake.
She shouldn’t have gotten so attached to him, to the Earth. It’s said that the reason for one to love a place is its people. That’s absolutely right. The moment Yoonjo realised her feelings for Woohyun, she also took in the truth that she had gone too far from safety zone. How could she leave this planet without causing at least one heart to be broken?
“I’m sorry I’m ruining our date. It’s supposed to be a happy time.” She’s still trembling.
Woohyun bends down, cupping her cheeks within his palms.“Jo, look at me.” He has no idea what’s going on but from what he’s seen Woohyun can’t help having a bad feeling. “I don’t know what’s bothering you. It’s up to you saying it out or not. If you choose silence, I respect your decision. But never forget that I’m here. Alright?” He tries to comfort his little crying girl with soothing words as how he always does when she’s upset. Woohyun believes he can get angry at himself for not being able to do anything better for lightening her mood.
Never in her life did Yoonjo long for an escape from reality. At the moment, even the two pretty cups on the table, the cake slices they share have become knives stabbing her heart. They keep reminding her this is the very last date, the very last chance they can spend time with each other.
“Can you promise me one thing?” Perhaps this will be her last wish. “Please remember me, and stay beside me if you still can.”
“Of course. Have no doubt.” Woohyun pulls her closer into a tight embrace. She suddenly becomes so serious as if they were about to be parted. He wonders why.
Because he totally has no clue of what’s waiting for him.
