Day 1: promises/gift/modern

So, this is my first time participating in an event like this! I always watch from the shadows, always wanting to try but never doing it ;v; so, yup.

I kind of did all 3 prompts (?) basically, Zenitsu's graduating and Tanjirou decided to confess his feelings by gifting his second button. And Zenitsu, calm as ever, almost have a heart attack :'D aannnddd happy ending uwu I wanted to do it as a shoujo manga ;v;

I. Gotta get the most important thing out there: she loves him. She loves him so much, just everything about him makes her feel so good. He’s given her a happiness she thought would be forever out of reach and she feels she simply can’t adequately describe how grateful she is to him. Elizabeth tries every day she’s with him to convey it anyway with gestures both small and large, be it a compliment, a thank you, a random gift, or a grand declaration of love via speech and kisses. He’s the person she wants to wake up next to each morning and fall asleep next to every night for as long as she lives. Honestly, she feels so much love for him it’s a wonder how she’s able to contain it and not cry about how much she loves Takashi on a regular basis. He makes her heart skip a beat no matter how long they’re together, and it will be like that for an infinite number of lifetimes.

II. Elizabeth catches herself thinking from time to time about how differently life would have turned out if they’d never met in the library that evening. More likely than not, they would have never crossed paths and that thought alone makes her physically ill.

III. After Ves’ strong opposition against Takashi’s entire existence tbh, Elizabeth worried for his safety and initially tried to push him away in order to keep him safe from the chaos what was her strict family orders and Ves’ overall awful temper toward anyone related to vampires. Obviously– didn’t work in the end. Hearing Ves talk badly about Takashi around herself and others (and his blatant, direct disrespect towards him in general) actually upset her and prompted Elizabeth to muster up the strength to stand up against her grandfather for the first time. Afterwards, she apologized to Takashi, expressing that she didn’t want him to get hurt because she respects him so deeply, and was happy he was around.

IV. It took some time, both hunters not being particularly adept in personal romantic relationships, but they eventually started dating after Elizabeth quit denying how much she liked him. It started off pretty reservedly, neither going for much more than hand-holding and pleasant walks together, before it got more serious– we’re talking flowers, nice dinners, and the oh-so-scandalous kiss on the cheek. Takashi never pressures her to do things that make her uncomfortable either, he’s the best ok.

V. Their first ‘real’ kiss, the first one on the lips, Elizabeth was the one to initiate it despite being the shyer of the two. It wasn’t long or romantic or passionate, just– innocent and sweet. Elizabeth quickly averted her gaze from him, almost teary-eyed because that took a bucket-load of courage to do, and politely thanked Takashi for the day they spent together.

VI. After the Pure blood transfusion, Elizabeth remained rather shaken in the following weeks, having nearly lost the love of her life– excruciatingly, all so he could be with her longer. Lord knows she would have blamed herself forever had he actually died from it. Though Takashi was fine, the fact that he wasn’t going to wither away seemed unreal, but he was always there to reassure her until she wasn’t scared anymore. then they had like 4 awesome kids.

VII. The first time Elizabeth saw Takashi’s scars prior to dating, she was taken aback. Of course she didn’t make a comment or visibly react to them at all, but her heart definitely felt like it was being pierced by iron. He was so put-together and young (elizabeth gdi hes literally like 3ish months younger than u), it really didn’t occur to her that he survived an event so terrible; when he told her how he received them after they became a couple, she wept and took his hands into hers, swearing to protect him from something like that in the future.

VIII. When Elizabeth learned Takashi preferred to prepare food with his katana, she laughed. It wasn’t in a cruel or mocking way, but Elizabeth was so amused by it and thought it was super cute (made sure to inform him of that btw). She felt badly for laughing and apologized, but everything he does makes her smile, aight. She loves learning little tidbits about him, no matter how strange because he’s so beautiful to her, flaws and oddities included.

IX. Elizabeth was educated in music and dance from when she was quite little. As such, she’s very experienced in those subjects and enjoys to partake in events that involve them if she has good company (which Taka is). She virtually bleeds ‘classy’, so when Takashi approached her for dance lesson, she led him well, but you better believe they were both shy about having his hand by her waist. freakin’ cuties.
