i think I'm still sad? disappointed? that they just took the old god's soul from kieran in dai. like this was a pretty significant detail to the whole deal in dao, it was such a potentially interesting subplot. they couldn't do much with that in-game anyway, but there is space to explore it outside, in the novels or comics or whatever else. but even if not, if you aren't gonna do anything with it, why even add the bit about taking it away from him, let him be? it was so useless too, if i remember correctly, because it just ends up with solas so he can destroy the world better, but he doesn't even need it actually, because there are scenarios in which kieran doesn't have it, or he wasn't even born, so solas doesn't even need it at all- idk it's just.. ugh

like the kid has an interesting life ahead of him in any case, but the concept of him having the old god soul is so fascinating, why waste it
