Imagine if in DA:I you have just one more option for "Here Lies the Abyss".

If the Gray Warden is Straud/Loghain/Alistair OR Carver.

That's the high level drama.

Inquisitor would have to chose between Hawke and their little brother.

Think about possible dialogue between them. Hawke who can't bare the thought of sacrificing brother. Carver with "it's time to being in my shadow now, Hawke". Then heartbreaking dialogue at the end. No matter of your choice the survived lost their sibling. Last of their family and it can't be fixed anyhow. Oh, i'm obsessed.

Also there's the possible alternative: Hawke and Carver would've argued till end of the world and the Nightmare just would die of age.

at first i wanted to gif this bc like........... look at this dramatic running-towards-the-closing-door sequence, all dashing down the stairs, hawke sliding down the fucking ramp bit like a mofo........... 

but wait

she’s not sliding down the ramp bit, she’s sliding down the air over the fucking stairs....... and actually everyone else is kinda skating down three steps at a time too lmao this is like bad drinking animations all over again
