1. What is the first book you can remember reading on your own?
Things Unseen by Andrew Clements. It’s about a boy who becomes invisible and falls in love with a blind girl. Even though I was in 5th grade when I read it, I still recommend it!
2. Tell me the next five movies on your queue (or the next five you want to see, if you don’t have netflix).
American Violet, Whistleblower, Steal A Pencil For Me, The First Grader, and The Untouchables. I have a thing for movies based on true stories that will make you cry. It’s practically a fetish.
3. Is there any task that most people complete in an hour or less that takes you the better part of a day? If so, what?
Anything requiring me to run long distances, since I’d have to take frequent breaks/make sure my heart isn’t going to explode.
4. If you had to either take a major standardized test (think SAT or the equivalent) or compose an interpretive dance in order to save your life, which would you choose?
Well since it’s interpretive, that hopefully means having rhythm isn’t required. I’d probably stand a better chance at making things up than remembering anything I learned over 5 years ago in high school.
5. How much water did you drink today? (Go drink another glass.)
8 cups, working on my 9th. Passed the daily goal, whoop!
6. Do you think that you would thrive in a roommate situation or that your roommates would literally pay you to move out?
I don’t think I’d “thrive,” since I’m pretty shy, but I think I’d do okay. I’m good at keeping to myself and try hard not to encroach on anyone else’s space.
7. What is the most embarrassing song you know all the words to?
"Apples and Bananas" as performed by Barney the Dinosaur.
8. If the world decided we only needed to wear one or the other, would you have everyone sans-pants or topless?
Topless, hands down. I’d much rather see everyone’s boobs than everyone’s junk.
9. Do you have any home videos from your childhood? If so, do you have a favorite? (If not, I feel you, bro.)
I don’t think I have any videos, but I do have stories. One of my favorites is when I took my Winnie the Pooh into the kiddie pool with me because I wanted a swim buddy. I still have him to this day.
10. Where do you want to be in your life when you’re 65?
Living in a very nice house with plenty of trees around me, a bit away from any busy roads, and a successful illustrator. And hopefully married (although the jury is still out on kids).
11. Have you done anything you swore you never would? How did it turn out?
Yeah, I swore I would never do the whole “friends with benefits” thing because I’d probably get attached. Of course, it didn’t work out and I don’t have any kind of relationship with that person anymore.
