Request: “Well I was slightly thinking of when the son has a kid of his own ( I was thinking of a girl who's name after his mother ) and visit Desmond on Christmas?”
Characters: Desmond Miles. Also featuring Tony Miles (from this fic- was a baby in the fic, now an adult!), and his daughter, Athena.
Note: A second part to this fic, as mentioned above! Lil’ summary: Desmond gets to see his adult son and his first grandbaby. Desmond lives for days with his kid and grandkid.
“Hey, Tony. Give me my grandbaby.” Desmond asked, his son laughing as he shook his head. The one month old baby was sleeping soundly in her carseat, unknowing to the back and forth fussing that her father and grandfather would be doing in just minutes.
“Yeah, I’ve been great, dad. Awesome, really. Been sleeping four whole hours a night.” Tony sarcastically said, placing his daughter’s carseat carefully on the kitchen table and swiftly unbuckling her, then stepping away.
“Damn it, I always forget you got my sarcasm. She gets to sleep good though, doesn’t she? Because that’s all that matters. Where’s the wife, by the way?”
“Just me and Thea today, Dad. Lizzie had to work- she took someone else’s shift so she could get Christmas Eve off. I figured I’d just bring myself and Thea here early.” Tony answered, smiling as Desmond carefully took the baby out of her carseat and cradled her close to him.
“I’m glad you two are here. It gets really quiet around here, you know. Well… When my ancestors aren’t talking, that is.” Desmond said, looking at Tony as he rested his one month old granddaughter against his shoulder.
“You still sticking to that story, even though you’re just going crazy?” Tony said with a smile, Desmond narrowing his eyes at his son. “I’m joking, dad.”
“You better be. I’m only 48, I’m not going crazy. Yet…” Desmond said, now looking at his granddaughter. “Hey, bright eyes! Yep, Grandpa isn’t crazy yet, I promise.”
Desmond smiled before nodding towards the living room, telling Tony to follow him.
“She favors your mom a lot, you know… She’s got Y/N’s ears, and nose. Cute as a damn button just like your mom was.”
“I always wonder what mom was like… Think she’d be proud of me, dad? Did I grow up like she wanted? Would she have liked Ellie? And, of course, I wonder if she’d steal Athena from me like you do- every damn time.”
Desmond laughed before kissing his granddaughter’s forehead, looking over towards Tony.
“She’d be so damn proud of you, Tony. You’ve done something other than bartending like your old man, which she would have loved. Would absolutely adore Ellie and you bet she’d steal Thea like I do- if not worse than me. She’d be walking around with Athena in a baby carrier and would probably slap anyone other than Ellie when they’d reach for the baby.”
Desmond and Tony both laughed at this. Tony was enjoying learning about his mother (even though he knew everything about her), and Desmond loved just being able to talk to his son and cuddle his granddaughter.
Though he saw Tony and Ellie year round, this was the first holiday he’d be spending with his son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter.
“Hey, son?” Desmond then said, voice holding a different tone as his eyes met Tony’s, who raised an eyebrow in question.
“Dad?”
“Thank you. For… Shit, I guess just for being here and letting be spoil your kid rotten.”
Tony laughed at Desmond, who just smiled at his son.
“Don’t laugh at me, you little shit! I’m being serious!”
“I know! But serious doesn’t suit you, dad.” Tony then smiled at his father, hints of a smile still pulling at the corners of his lips.
A/N: I love Connor so much. I just… I love him so, so much. Connor deserves all the happiness.
* Connor may or may not have cried when he found out he was going to be a dad. He had so much loss and death in his life, that when he finally, finally had something good coming to him, he couldn’t help it. In a modern setting, Connor sheds a tear or two at the first ultrasound, especially when he hears that little heartbeat for the first time.
* Connor thinks the kid is made of glass. He’s never been more gentle than he is with his newborn. Seriously- it takes him the whole first month of the baby’s life to become comfortable with holding the little one when it’s just him and the beb.
* He loves the kid so much. Seriously. He took one look at their little face when they were first born, and he thought that he would never, ever love another human quite that much. He knew he’d do anything to protect them from that moment, too. No matter what he’d have to face, or who he’d have to kill to keep them 100% safe.
* He always talks to his kid??? Seriously, he rambles so much about anything and everything, even if Connor is just telling littlest Kenway about the storms outside, or when he talks about their mama to them (this is a favorite of Connor’s). He tells them how much he loves them, too- also a favorite of his because damn, he loves his kid so, so much.
* Going on the ‘Connor loves to talk to his kid’, Littlest Kenway hears all the stories about Ziio and Achilles. All the time. Connor vowed to wait until they’re a teenager before he tells them about their ‘real’ grandfather, Haytham.
* He teaches littlest Kenway bits and pieces of his native language once they start to talk. Not enough to confuse them while they’re learning English as well, but some pretty basic words that he knows they’ll say often (like, he teaches them the words for mother, father, thank you).
* If littlest Kenway is a girl, Connor is wrapped around her finger. Seriously. Especially if she’s got his big brown eyes- there’s a certain face she pulls and Connor cannot tell her no- at all. She’s spoiled rotten all because of her dad! (this may be a shameless self plug for this fic)
* He would fight anyone and anything that even so much as looked at his kid weird, or called them some negative name. Seriously. Papa Connah will probably punch you all while holding his kid (then tell the youngin’ that that is NOT how you handle situations like that).
* Lastly… Look, Connor would do anything to make sure his kid is always safe, and that his kid always knows that they can come to him for whatever. Just having a bad day? Papa’s got your back. Someone’s picking on you? You bet Papa’s right there.
Requested thing and you guys know I’m a sucker for Dadsassins.
* Desmond totally forgets the name he and his love give the kid once they're born. Really. They had a totally different name for the kid up until the last month of pregnancy and Desmond’s wife changed it- Desmond calls their halfling their original name for the first month of the kid’s life (“Did you just call Sage ‘Athena’ again?” “What do you expect? Athena was her name for 8 months, then it changed!” “She’s going to be so confused, Desmond.” “Because you changed her name after 8 months, Y/N.”) .
* Once he’s used to the kid’s name though… He gets it tattooed on him. Over his heart, on his non-tattooed arm… Somewhere he can see it. He wants to be reminded of why he keeps going every day, and why the world needs to be safe. Because really… He’d kill anyone to keep his baby safe.
* Look… Desmond stays awake with the kid, all hours of the night. He didn’t mean to take the night shift, but with how messed up he got from Abstergo, he wants to make sure everything around him is real- whether it be from just holding the baby, or cuddled up with the one he loves on the couch with the baby sleeping on his chest, he wants to know that it’s real.
* Desmond is one of the ‘give me the baby’ dads. Like… His love needs to go to the store and grab some things for the baby and for dinner? You bet Desmond has that kid in one of those sling baby carriers. He may or may not have had his love buy two of them- one for her, and one for him. He wears it all the time, too. Doesn’t regret a single thing.
* The ‘give me the baby’ turns to ‘BRING ME THE SPAWN’ once the kid is a toddler. He’s a little offended when his two year old decides that they want to hang out with mama more- but it doesn’t last long. It’s a phase, seriously, that lasts a week before they’re right back to being stuck to daddy’s side like glue.
* Desmond takes the kid everywhere. When he goes to see Rebecca and Shaun, he’s got a mini him attached to his hip and almost gives Shaun a heart attack (”Oh no. There’s a miniature you running around? Desmond. I’m not old enough to have gray hair.” “Shut up and hold my kid, Hastings.”)
* On that topic... Shaun and Rebecca are the only people Desmond trusts to watch his kid. Seriously. He doesn’t let his kid stay out of his sight for longer than a minute- but when he does, he knows these two have his kid- and the little one is safe.
* And, lastly. Desmond has never known unconditional love like that comes with being a dad. He never thought that there would be a little person that he helped bring into the world, that he would literally kill for. He doesn’t want his kid to know the same fear, or lack of love he did. He wants to always keep his baby safe, no matter how old they are. He wants them protected, and safe, and loved- always.

Aaaaaand... That’s it, I think! The things that make me love writing for this blog because I will forever love dadsassins. A lot of these are from the earliest days of the blog (i.e., just weeks after the blog started), and some as new as being posted just weeks ago. You’ve been warned because some are B A D
Request: If you're taking requests, can you do one where Altair's daughters totally just hand some templars their asses and Altair is just sitting there, stunned and proud like: damn. Those are my BABIES.
A/N: Okay, so… If you’ve been with me long enough, you may remember the post about Altair and his oldest girl, Phoenix, then the introduction of the littlest one, Raven. Also; not modern? I think? It could be if you squint!
“Phoenix? Raven?” Altair said as he turned, finally noticing that his two girls were no longer following behind him.
With most of his assassin training forgotten, Altair let his parental instincts kick in as he went looking for his daughters- first by retracing the steps he had just taken. Altair was mentally cursing at himself for not repeatedly checking on his daughters as the three of them traveled through the crowded streets.
Altair quickly took to the rooftops, using the extra height to his advantage.
“Two girls, only 15 and 16 couldn’t have gotten far… Right? Right. Now, where could they have gotten…” Altair mumbled, quirking an eyebrow up as he spoke to himself, looking around for any sign of Phoenix and Raven. He knew that, with the bond his daughters had, if he found one, the other would be close.
As Altair was looking, the sounds of fighting begun to reach his ears, eyes widening as he automatically assumed the worse. Were his girls in trouble? Were they hurt? Altair didn’t know, and the adrenaline that quickly washed over his body made him run a little faster, following the sound.
As the fighting drew closer, the familiar voices of Phoenix and Raven was heard, Altair’s own taunts reaching him. His heart began to slow down, but the slight worry that Altair had began to feel not budging- he knew it wouldn’t leave unless he laid eyes on his daughters unharmed.
Dropping down from the rooftops, Altair scanned the area, taking note of the direction the civilians were running from. He used this to his advantage, knowing that if that many people were running away from something, the fighting was the source.
Once he finally laid eyes on the fight, Altair couldn’t help the smirk that pulled at the corners of his lips once he saw his girls. Pride filled his chest as he watched Phoenix and Raven from a hidden spot, his confidence in them leading to his decision to not intervene unless one, or both of his daughters, needed his help.
Altair kept his eyes on the Templars, knowing that they could quickly multiple from just one to many in seconds.
After watching for just a short amount of time, the youngest, Raven, finally took down the last templar with a quick jab of her elbow to his face. Altair smiled, revealing himself from the hiding place he had taken just minutes before.
’These are my children. It seems I have done right by them, by giving them much needed skills for their lives.’ Altair thought, making his way towards the two girls.
“You did well, my daughters. I am proud of you.” Altair said, watching as both Phoenix and Raven smiled at his praise.
“We tried to remember what you taught us.”
“.. Even though, I do think Raven needs more training.” Phoenix said, smiling as her sister shoved her playfully.
“Come now, you two. We must get you cleaned up before returning home, so your mother doesn’t kill all three of us.”
Request: For the requests: Maybe a pregnant reader that Altaïr can't keep his hands off of with lots of fluff?
A/N: Made this into a modern drabble type thing… Hope that’s okay, dear! You wouldn't believe how many times I forgot this was for AC and not Dragon Age (that game has deeply wounded me)...
“Altair, it’s 90 degrees in this room… At 3 in the morning and I have heartburn. What are you doing?” Y/N started, trying her best to sound annoyed but having it fail. “I’m amazed.” “You have been since we saw the first ultrasound.” Y/N then said, smiling softly when she felt Altair’s hands find their way to her stomach, lightly at first then she felt his palms against her skin. “Before you ask, they haven’t been kicking. I think the little one is asleep, as we both should be.” “I can’t sleep until you do, we both know this.” Altair whispered, Y/N nodding as she moved closer to him. “How are you going to sleep when the baby gets here, hmm? Are you going on the night shift?” Y/N asked with a teasing edge to her voice, Altair answering with a quiet laugh. “I will be up with them every night if it means you can still get a good night’s sleep, Y/N.”
Altair’s answer hit her ears, making Y/N smile again. Altair moved a hand, placing it gently onto Y/N’s face, causing her to look at him. “You are beautiful.” Altair murmured, smiling slightly before pressing his lips to Y/N’s. The girl couldn't help but smile, leaning her head towards Altair’s hand. “You know… I'm all for you being a sap, but our late night conversation has woken the child up, Altair.” Y/N said, causing Altair to laugh. “Believe me, I can feel them. Our child is strong, already.” “You say that now, just wait until she's here and gets to show her father how strong her lungs are by crying all night.”
Altair laughed again, kissing Y/N’s nose.
“As long as she is healthy, I will welcome those cries and sleepless nights.”
A/N: And here we have Jacob Frye being a young dad and not knowing a single flippin' thing and just talking to his baby. Can't tell if this or modern day or not but uh... Let's go with it is!
Jacob wasn't used to being alone with the baby. Normally, Y/N was simply bringing the little one to where Jacob and his Rooks stayed, the man only able to spend no longer than a minute with his wife and daughter due to being called by one of his men or even Evie after she heard of a mission for the two of them to do.
But, not spending enough time with her in her first few days has come back to bite Jacob- leading him to his current situation.
Sitting in his daughter's nursery with the child screaming at the top of her lungs, with nothing seeming to calm her down. Jacob had tried everything- feeding, changing, burping- and just nothing worked. All Jacob wanted to do was relax while his child napped, maybe even nap himself- but the universe had other ideas for the assassin.
“Please, for the love of god, child, go to sleep…” Jacob’s sleepy voice murmured, using his free hand to rub his face, his newborn daughter nestled against his chest, still crying loudly. Jacob didn’t know what to do- he didn’t know what he could do.
“Evelyn, please. Daddy is very tired and my god, you should be too.” Jacob said, sitting up with his lower back against the rocking chair, holding his daughter out in front of him, her body resting against his arms, his hands cradling her head. Jacob could only sigh as her crying continued, scrunching his nose slightly as he held the baby close to his chest again, standing up as he carefully moved Evelyn to rest against his shoulder, moving one hand to rub her back, the other laid carefully on the back of her head as he walked out of the little girl’s nursery.
After a moment of silence, Jacob's eyes widen slightly as he moved his head to look at his daughter, hoping that she was asleep finally, a loud cry following just a moment later.
“Evelyn…” Jacob started, voice holding a whining undertone, walking into the living room where he sighed, sitting down on the couch and sits his feet on the table, resting Evelyn on his legs, propping her up on his knees as he tilted his head slightly, reaching one hand down to gently hold her tiny hand, resting the other on her head, Evelyn’s hand tightening around his thumb, her cries finally starting to quiet down.
Sighing quietly, Jacob smiled as he rubbed the baby’s forehead with his thumb, a gesture he had seen her mother do numerous times whenever she was attempting to get the baby to sleep.
Evelyn, however, knew it wasn’t her mother cradling her- which is why she stared up at her father in awe.
“Yeah, yeah, kid… You probably don’t see me as much as you should. I go away a lot because.. Oh, what am I doing. You can’t tell anyone what I do. All you do is cry. That’s how you talk. Evelyn, I’m your dad and I’m an assassin. Your momma used to be one, too, but then you came along… Auntie Evie, that’s who inspired your name, she’s an assassin too. So is uncle Henry.” Jacob said, Evelyn’s tiny hand tightening its grip on his thumb as Jacob smiled again.
“And on the topic of names… Your mom gave me the first name choice. I knew from the moment Y/N said she was pregnant that I wanted to name you after Aunt Evie. I told your aunt this- she wasn’t too thrilled for the longest time. Then she helped your mom give you your middle name. Evelyn Celeste Frye. My little hellion. Trouble from the get-go.” Jacob said, his voice growing quiet near the end.
“You poor kid…You look like me.” Jacob said with a laugh, Evelyn’s eyes not leaving her father’s face as she cooed quietly, Jacob leaning down to carefully kiss the baby’s forehead.
“But on top of everything… You’re my baby girl. I’m your dad. And I promise you, Evelyn Celeste, as long as I’m living, I will not let anything happen to you. I will protect you, fight tooth and nail for you. And love you. Until I take my last breath and even then, I will love you.” Jacob whispered, Evelyn’s eyes slowly slipping closed as she finally found sleep with help from the comfort of her father’s voice.
Request: how about connors kid talking its first words?
A sequel of sorts to this piece. :)

“Charlotte. You can do it. Mama. Say mama.” Y/N said, sitting in front of the 10 month old, who smiled a toothless grin at her mother, babbling happily as Y/N looked down to the floor, smiling. “You and I both know she will say dada first, Y/N. Do not trick yourself.” Connor said with a smug look, Y/N’s head snapping up as she stuck her tongue out at the man in front of her.
Connor moved onto the floor beside Y/N, reaching his hand out towards his daughter who squealed happily, reaching her tiny hand out towards her father’s. “Repeat after me, little one. Da-da.” Connor said slowly, Charlotte’s eyebrows furrowing together, making a face Connor had mostly only seen Y/N make, cracking a smile at the baby.
“See? She’s confused! I at least got a smile!” Y/N said triumphantly, moving one hand to poke Connor’s shoulder, Connor cutting his eyes at her. “She is confused because you told her to say mama first and I am trying to teach her something else.” Connor stated plainly, standing up and picks Charlotte up with him, holding the little girl close to him.
“Come on now, Charlotte. Dada. You’ve said it before even if your mother is going to deny it.” Connor said and couldn’t help but smile as his baby reached her tiny hand up, her attention glued to the beads in her father’s hair. “Now you’re distracting her, papa bear.” “Shush, you.” Connor said with a smile, looking back to Y/N. Wanting her father’s attention back, Charlotte yelled a unintelligible word, Connor immediately looking back to her. “Well… I have to go, papa and little bear. When she finally says ‘mama’, call me and let me know.” Y/N teased, standing up as she leaned towards Connor and kisses his cheek, doing the same to Charlotte as she smiled at the face Connor was making, walking away to grab her car keys and says a quick ‘I love you’, walking out the door.
Standing in the middle of the living room, Connor looked at his daughter, tilting his head slightly. “We are going to prove your mother wrong, little one. That I promise.” Connor murmured as he sat down back on the floor, carefully placing Charlotte in front of him.
“You have been so vocal lately- why are you choosing today to be quiet?” Connor asked, smiling as he knew his daughter wouldn’t reply- she couldn’t even talk yet.
“Da-da. You can say it. I have faith in you.” He said, tilting his head as Charlotte opened her mouth, Connor expecting a loud yell bit received the quiet coo of ‘daaaa’ in response. Cracking another smile, Connor nods, watching his daughter. “Almost had it. Almost. Say it again, little one.” Connor excitedly said. “Da-da.” He repeated as Charlotte smiled and giggled, reaching towards Connor as she happily exclaimed ‘dada’, Connor’s smile growing. “Good job!” He exclaimed, quickly scooping Charlotte into his arms, kissing the side of his daughter’s head. “I am so proud of you, little one.” Connor said as he looked at Charlotte, earning a toothless smile as she repeated her new found word.
“.. And now, all we have to do is tell your mother.”
