I wanna see Oscar and Oz bicker. Like, in the way where it’s like Oscar sees him as if he were three feet away and they’re just fighting over hot cocoa or something. I need that domestic fluff in my life right now with all the pain from the merge and v9 and the world ending and everything.

Oh yeah, and it totally has to end with Oscar getting grounded and have the whole “Go to your room!” And then emerald finds him fuming in a corner in his room.

When she asks, all he says is, “I had an argument with Oz and now I’m grounded.” And Emerald has to sit there and do the mental gymnastics of trying to figure out how and why that works.

Summary:

Salem’s eyes burned. “OZMA–!” Tick. Tock. Tick. Time slowed to a crawl, distorting the air around them. Ozpin was panting heavily, and Oscar could feel blood dripping from his nose, proof that he was pushing them both to their limit. Then a green light began to fill the room. It emanated outward from their chest, building in strength, almost blinding. The hum of magic soared in their souls and Ozpin quirked his lips in a small smile. “Let’s get you out of here,” he said softly. “What do you say?” Oscar let his presence lean against Ozpin’s in their shared mind, exhaustion and gratitude swirling in the soul link. ‘Please.’ Anywhere was better than here. OR: When Hazel helps Oscar escape from Salem, things go a little differently. Salem catches on too soon, Ozpin is desperate to get Oscar to safety, and the rescue party doesn't arrive. A rushed spell, a misplaced semblance, and a little bit of bad luck create a twist in fate that nobody - not even Ozma - could have predicted. (OR OR: Thanks to an escape attempt gone wrong, Oscar gets blasted back in time, drops out of the sky in Mistral, and lands at Qrow's feet. Oh, and he's been turned into a bird.)

Hey buddy!! Saw your headcanons for Qrow and Oz, and that got me wondering, do you have any Dadpin headcanons? Could be canon related or maybe from one of yohr AUs!

I surprisingly don’t think about Oscar that much ( @masquerade-of-time does that for me LOL ) but I’m taking this as a challenge to! So, without further ado—

Dadpin Headcanons

- Ozpin was the first to introduce the concept of hot cocoa to Oscar and he absolutely loved it as soon as he took a sip. The addiction runs through the veins now.

- When taking control, Ozpin has at least once had a voice crack because of the teenage boy body doing teenage boy body things. Everyone couldn’t stop laughing afterwards and he got so embarrassed he let Oscar take over again.

- Oz has been a father in many past lives, and after realising Oscar was the next, he felt a mix of "This child is now mine, I must protect him at all costs — I’m so excited to see him grow." and "This child is now me, and he will never get to grow up, just as I never became an adult. He will only know the man we are now. He will forget himself too early…"

Context Headcanon: Ozpin merged with the previous incarnation during his second—fourth year at Beacon.

- In the OCSN AU, Ozpin would WILL find Oscar and enrol him into Beacon once he’s recovered. He already feels very protective of him, but also very sad that he’s the next incarnation. (I’ll talk about this timeline in a future post :3).

- In a weird wacky AU that I haven’t fleshed out, The Merge works by the most recent incarnation being able to communicate with the host and previous incarnations, but the host can only talk to the most recent one. After the merge, all can converse. Meaning! When Ozpin kept disappearing from Oscar’s mind, it wasn’t only because of his choice, rather he was LITERALLY BEING HELD BACK BY PAST INCARNATIONS IN ORDER TO CONTINUE THE CYCLE. Needless to say this is to everyone’s detriment.

- They are AMAZING at cooking together.
