So everybody knows ^ this ^ picture right? I can't find the meme right now but it's the whole "me standing next to my cancelled wife" thing. I love the meme and this image in general but I just found something...

^ This ^ gives the same energy and I am here for it. This also got me thinking a little bit.....

There are many similarities between Dean and Steve that I could go on about but I'll just mention a couple.

Insanely self sacrificial

More than a little suicidal but claiming "it's for the greater good"

In love with their best friend that they met during a world ending catastrophe (while I love Stucky, this post is focusing on Stony)

Can be emotional stupid but would do very near anything for said friend

Practically the same haircut

Great ass (in my humble opinion)

"The hunk" but emotional deep once you get past that

Bad dads that aren't talked about enough

People talk about their parallels but not a certain other one that I'd like to discuss....

So apart from the obvious blue light for Tony's arc reactor and Castiel's grace, there are other similarities.

Not necessarily warm towards Dean/Steve to begin with

Got closer and without words considered them family

Speaking of, asshole dad and fucked up definition of family

Is arguably a little more devoted and would do anything for Dean/Steve

Dean/Steve picked their brothers over them (Stucky is platonic love is this)

Same hair colour

Emotionally disregarded and people assume they just don't have emotions (people think Tony's a dick and Cas is a robot)

ROBOT. Castiel more emotionally and Tony both emotionally and physically, but Cas' grace can sort of repair him in a robot like way if you squint

Lives in a suit

Text book smart/just knows things but emotionally idiotic

By the end, both became dads and were fantastic at it (haven't seen Cas and Jack yet but I've read enough random posts to get the gist)

Tried to settle down, didn't work out the first time but it did the second, also when they had a kid

Their brothers have died many times and who the fuck knows when they're gonna come back (bitch, they fucking will, Supernatural season 16 will happen and Dean will be alive and well - preferably running a B'n'B with Cas)

Both love their brothers

Both are often extremely pissed of at their brothers

Their dads lied about a lot (Odin about Loki and John about Sam but you get it)

Their mothers were loving, blonde, kick ass and generally just great

Through time travel they both got to talk to their mothers after they died

Underrated. UNDERRATED. (both in fandom culture and by the people around them canonically)

Adorable.

Sacrificed themselves after they "didn't want to be part of a team" - (Gabe's death against Lucifer in season 5 and Bruce's snap - didn't kill him but neither did Gabe's) - (Gabe didn't want to work with the Winchesters but did to fight Lucifer, Bruce didn't want to become an Avenger initially and just wanted to be left alone)

All they want is peace!

CHARLIE AND WANDA

Traumatic past that resulted in them becoming orphans

AND YET cinnamon rolls

Literally way too fucking sweet I love them both so much

VERY gay (IDC about Vision, Wanda is gay in my mind)

So incredibly kick ass

They had their bad moments (Scarlet Witch and Bad Charlie)

Lived fariytales (Charlie in Oz, Wanda in Westfield - bad fairytale but still)

Big brother relationship with Dean/Steve

The Bad Charlie - Red Room Natasha parallels

Rowena and Wanda magic and all around bad decisions (a little bit evil)

They ALL died sacrificing themselves!

Aaaand.....

Okay so, I haven't gotten to the Jack stuff but based off of what I know, here are some similarities.

Look at them

Adorable

Biologically familial issues to say the least

But found family? That's where they shine

Tony/Cas are both great dads to these two even if for a while no one will admit it

They literally have special names (Irondad and Dadstiel)

With great power comes great responsibility......

Then we have......

Universe dads.

They have that "what the fuck did my kid just do" look

Adopted world saving children

Over everyone's shit

Both have/had disabilities but still helped to save the world (Nick's eye and Bobby was in a wheelchair for a while)

Feared and respected by everyone but their kids (ish for Bobby but get on his bad side and....oof)

Would do a LOT for their children, possibly anything

We've also got....

Okay hear me out!

Insanely flirty

English accent. Sorry, AMAZING English accent

Looks fantastic in an all black suit

Into the whole "royalty" thing

"Rightful place on the throne" etc.

Got locked up for a while

Faked their deaths

Died for real in a self sacrificial way (I haven't seen Crowley's death but I am damn near certain it's like this, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm avoiding as many spoilers as possible)

Often thought of as shallow, evil, only out for themselves

But all they really want are good friends, maybe a family

One parent treated them like shit (Odin and Rowena)

Oh and by the fucking way....

So yeah. I had to stop myself before I got more carried away. (I literally spend 2 hours straight on this and I didn't even notice time passing whatsoever)

There are almost certainly many holes in this but I just had to share it because it's fucking with my mind.
