Whenever I pass by a patch of trees during a drive, my wonderful father, without fail, just goes “HEY AREEBA DO YOU SEE THE LIONS IN THE JUNGLE????” and when I’d say no, he’d go “WHAT ABOUT THE MONKEYS?????????” I’m literally 18 years old and he still does this and I sTILL look for the lions and monkeys in every patch of trees

Unfactual things my dad said today while driving:

1. “HEY AREEBA DID YOU KNOW RFK BRIDGE STANDS FOR RAFIKI BRIDGE” (he was screaming cuz he thought I couldn’t hear him, oh father dear w h y )

2. “Areeba, you’re 17 years old and you didn’t know the vines that grow on walls are called gLuE pLaNtS???” at which point I burst out laughing and he responds by saying “Yeah, that’s where glue comes from” and I died

My dad just made me made me toasted butter bread for no reason and he hasn’t done that for me since I was in fifth grade (because I’d mastered the art of making it for myself but this is just 🥺) Is this minimal? Yes. But it makes me feel like a child again and now I’m really happy 😭
