It's pure headcanon but I imagine Daeghun correcting people when they call Farja his ward to his face. Not often, mind, but it happens enough that he can't even deny he does it.

"So your ward—"

"Daughter."

He doesn't even think about it. He just says it without hesitation because that's his daughter even if he doesn't feel deserving of calling himself her father.

(Similar in a way to Farja, whose response to every "You mean your foster father" is "No. I mean my da.")

All my KCs like Bevil, so I like to imagine that Retta was basically a mother to you. If Daeghun wasn’t always how we see him, maybe she wouldn’t have had any objections to him taking you in at first. She only had Lorne and Bev at the time, and another baby pretty much the same age as her youngest probably wouldn’t have made much of a difference? But then she saw how damn near neglectful he was being… Well, he was already determined to be the one to “look after” you, and he wouldn’t have taken kindly to the Starlings of all people wanting to take you in, so with him you stayed.

With Camus, who’s a veritable beanpole, she’ll make disparaging comments (not to his face, but also not necessarily out of his hearing…) about how a hunter of his skill should be able to feed his kid properly, and will always push extra food on Camus whenever he’s over.
