A man who is trained to be an impartial government servant but is unable to entirely ignore his surprisingly big heart, Malkul Dagoon is somebody who’s been forced to mature very early. In all of his iterations, he grew up either as an orphan who didn’t know his parents or lost them for a significant period of time, and this is crucial to his empathetic nature; life put him at a severe disadvantage in an unkind, militaristic society.
His lack of family or prestigious lineage to reference, as well as some childhood health issues, gave him a bad habit of overworking himself in order to prove his worth to his peers and superiors. Though this has given him some problems later in life with self worth and taking responsibility for issues he couldn’t have prevented, it also meant he worked particularly hard when trained in his assigned career - reconnaissance/intel field work. It’s crafted him into a dangerous foe - and an excellent ally in intelligence gathering or battle.
Malkul, though polite and outwardly friendly, is quite slow to completely trust, but he’s incredibly loyal to those he cares for once they’ve entered his inner circle. It’s no exaggeration to say he would die for his closest companions and his partners. His military upbringing, tactical mind, and devotion to found family, lands him in or makes him gravitate towards leadership jobs.

I’m finally done!! Malkul’s got a recent, live piece of ref material that actually feels correct and shouldn’t be too hard to alter as needed to reflect new material.
-Check out his full profile here-! I was just gonna’ put it here on tumblr, but at least docs doesn’t constantly crap up my pretty formatting and is easy to update without having “the wrong version” of a reblog going around hhhh
It’s got brief run-downs of his different alts/versions and there’s still more info for me to put up. Hopefully some of that information becomes more interesting and relevant when I’ve got more refs up for Myriaverses species, settings, etc. I’m highly considering doing this for all of my other characters too, especially since theirs shouldn’t be as hard as Mal’s since he’s kind of exceptional in regards to having a bunch of forms.
