The problem with the post is that men telling women to be vegan is such a fucking nonissue in comparison to everything else that it shouldn't even be addressed. You're basically saying women talking down to a non-vegan because they're not vegan is better than a man doing it because omg the patriarchy! Thats silly, especially since outside of tumblr it's not an issue and almost everyone outside of militant vegans agree that telling people to get raped for not being vegan is woefully unacceptable.
You know, it's entirely possible that animals possess consciousness that we have yet to understand - which leads to a problem with a lot of these "HOW WOULD YOU FEEL" because of the anthropomorphism of animals. Animals are NOT humans, even though they could be very well conscious creatures in ways that we do not understand. Just like we don't understand how animals live certain ways, they don't understand how we live certain ways.
In addition, anthropomorphising animals automatically makes any carnivore or omnivore a "murderer", which is not how eating meat works. Eating flesh is literally transfering one organisms material to the body of another, and is common and regular in the animal kingdom. The fact that these militant vegans use biological terms like "carnivore" or "omnivore" as insults is just pathetic and shows their true lack of ability to grasp actual biological concepts such as the food chain.
Empathy in the definition of autism means that one has difficulty understanding other people's emotions. It's that "you don't realize people are bored" thing. Too bad the technical term in most contexts means the same thing as sympathy...
According to this article, there are 3 types of empathy: cognitive empathy (knowing when someone is bored from their nonverbal cues etc.), personal distress (when someone else is upset, you ‘mirror’ their emotions and feel upset yourself) or empathic concern (which is kind of like sympathy…and tends to involve a socially appropriate response).
Personally, I find that with people I know, I’m more likely to experience personal distress than my peers in similar situations. I have some difficulty with empathic concern because I struggle with responding in a socially appropriate way. Cognitive empathy is something that I manage to do by studying body language, but I’m still significantly worse at it than my peers are. It really is unfortunate that people assume that since I can’t show empathy the way other people expect me to, that I must have none.

auditory hallucinations? Does anyone get them? I hear echoes of certain sounds sometimes, especially bad sounds. :c
I keep hearing random recurring noises everywhere, generally noises that occur often anyway, like the noise my iPhone makes when I get an notification. The more often I hear a sound the more often I randomly hear it, even in places where that sound should not and cannot be, like sounds from a game I play while i’m sat in class.
