As President Donald Trump directs military strikes on Iran, he’s also fighting online attacks at home from some of the loudest voices in his MAGA political movement.

“This is Israel’s war. This is not the United States’ war,” former Fox News host Tucker Carlson said Tuesday on his weekly political podcast.

“No one should have to die for a foreign country,” Megyn Kelly, another former Fox News host with a massive online following, said on her podcast Monday.

Daily Wire podcaster Matt Walsh beseeched fellow conservatives on Monday to stop supporting Trump’s military campaign. “I can’t take the gaslighting, guys. I really can’t,” he wrote on X.

I should not be talking about this, because this is making accidental advertisement for a nefarious project, but I just have to share this very funny experience.

Today Daily Wire + released their first official trailer for "The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin". You know, Daily Wire? The extreme-right, deeply-Christian media company that has been spouting a LOT of VERY racist and homophobic things and is deeply into conspiracy theories of all sorts and kinds? The media company that made its sole goal and project to create "anti-woke media" and... that's just it?

You probably heard of them due to their "We're doing an actual, respectful, truly good Snow-White live-action movie" trailer that boomed after the disastrous promotion of Disney's Snow White movie. Don't be fooled they didn't do this out of respect for the original Disney movie or out of love for the folktale it is based upon, they literaly did this trailer out of racist beliefs. But anyway... So, this trailer got released and Youtube suggested it to me, for some reasons.

And seeing the thumbnail, which had two youthful men side by side, one dark-haired one blond-haired, I thought: Wait... Wait are they taking a shot at BBC MERLIN?

Because you know, that was how the Daily Wire went viral, by taking an actual "woke" media and making their "own" "non-woke" version of it (Disney Snow-White). So it would have made sense they took a shot at BBC's Merlin, out of spite, due to thinking it is, I don't know, too inclusive, too queer-coded, too feminist.

So I watched the trailer out of curiosity and then I had a brief moment of relief - no, this was just an adaptation of Lawhead's famous Pendragon series. I remembered they were talking about this project before they even released their "Snow White" concept-trailer, and it was in fact promoted as the very first series Daily Wire + would make. It was still promoted with texts that were very heavy on stuff like religious promotion, homophobia and racist intents, but you know, not related to BBC's Merlin.

And then I read the first comment of the video, the one at the top, which basically was "I am so interested in this - because I loved BBC Merlin was a kid."

EDIT: Shit, when you type "BBC Merlin" in Youtube the FIRST answer that comes up is the Daily Wire trailer... I take back what I said, maybe they actually deliberately chose Lawhead's series just to spite the Tumblr-favorite Merlin...
