The daily pixel sketch for 6/11/2017 is Kaban and Serval from the anime-of-the-season-except-not-really-except-yes-really Kemono Friends! She’s going to pounce, but don’t worry she won’t eat you!
Time on this was 1:15, which I feel went pretty well for a quick sketch! I ended up spending more time on Kaban than on Serval, which shows a bit I think. If I had more time, I would have redone Serval’s body to better convey momentum - she sort of just looks like she’s falling here! :(
Today’s pixel sketch isn’t much of a sketch at all, since I spent around 3 hours on it! Wow! It’s Nina Drango from Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul - her power level is only exceeded by her unrelenting horniness! She’s one of my favorite protagonists in recent anime, and I really love her a lot! I hope you do too!
Returning to Rage of Bahamut, today’s pixel sketch is Favaro! He seems to be chillin, but down below Kaisar is furiously trying to poke him with a stick.
(This is my first time on this project trying to work out a pose without an explicit, pre-existing reference image to crib notes from; it’s a little stiff and the proportions are a little funky, but it’s a fun pose and I feel like I’m getting a little better at eyeballing things, so that’s a plus!)
Pixel Sketch for 6/13/2017 is a portrait of Alpha from Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (Yokohama Shopping Trip). It is basically the best comic, so just a heads up on that. For my game project, I want to have character portraits for dialog, and so I need to get good at closeups. If anything, I’d want them to be higher resolution than this, but baby steps are good.
Pixel Sketch for 5/29/2017 is Tohru from Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid! She’s got a snack for you, Miss Kobayashi! I’m sure you’ll like it!
Daily Sketch for 6/2/2017 is an original character from my current game projects. This is a simple idle sprite, but I think it’s kinda cool! I’m probably going to posting several assets for the project here for my daily sketches here and there, simply because I won’t have time to do them otherwise! :)
Pixel sketch from 5/23/2017 - it’s 2B from NieR: Automata. She looks tiny here, but she’s really heavy, so she crushes 9S when she steps on him.
