So Virgil doesn’t get talked into going to the docks and never gets powers and thus does not survive when Hotstreak decides t fry him and go after Frieda. Richie was at the Bang probably looking for Virgil or for other reasons.While trying to help protect Freida from Francis, Richie shoots and kills Hotstreak. And later Daisy gets roped into things.

So the team consists of Richie, Freida, and Daisy. STress causes Richie’s powers to kick in early and since Frieda is his closest friend after Virgil, and they went through the Hotstreak shit together, Richie confides in Frieda.

Where Virgil was a good noodle and very moral character, Richie isn’t. He sold a man out for a hamburger, he’s suggested committing crimes multiple times. Virgil was a very good influence on Richie. So while Gear would still fight crime and save people, he might not be completely on the up and up. Maybe he takes a little cash and jewels from the crime scene when no one's looking? Maybe he uses his super smarts to get his way unfairly?

Frieda decides that she’s gonna help protect Dakota. Frieda is a natural leader and takes charge of the whole superhero operation. She and Richie work on a super suit for her that gives her ‘weather’ powers. And she calls herself Hurricane after the nickname that her friends give her. 

-her suit generates electricity (lightning), can absorb and release heat into the immediate surroundings to manipulate the air/create clouds/cause precipitation. She’s armed with water bombs and has a jet pack.

When Daisy gets involved in stopping Specs and Trapper, befriending Richie in the process and saving Freida’s hide, they let her in the loop. They tell her everything. When Daisy decides to be a superhero too, she and Richie put their heads together to make, design, and program a supersuit. Daisy takes on the super title UltraViolet.

-Her suit absorbs thermal and electromagnetic energy to move at supersonic speeds and create holograms and lasers. It als has camouflage features.

Nina Crocker is never asked to turn back the clock to save say Virgil or anyone else b/c that is a very bad idea of fucking with the time stream. And she can’t anyway. When Richie and Daisy help stabilize her powers she can only go backwards in time by 3 minutes, 3 seconds if she’s exhausted. But she can freeze time for herself and anyone touching her indefinitely. She ends up being a major lifesaver in the most literal sense.

Later Shenice Vale/Shebang joins the team with open arms after the stuff with folks being after her to use her is resolved. There’s a small power struggle between Shenice and Frieda, but it's quickly resolved by Frieda’s experience as a leader. Still Shenice ends up being a major powerhouse for the team.

The team’s name is The Fearless Few (Richie jokes that they’re the Fearless Fools). Gets shortened to The Fearless  sometimes.
