How has online media developed? Online Media has changed many aspects of media as whole, various industries began to merge into a new online age. The News became available for online use, beginning with The BBC, The guardian and The Times. This encouraged the music industry as well as television and film, the music industry and changed who has control over it, unsigned acts and acts from smaller companies have more chance of grasping fame and building themselves as an artist without the help of big record companies. This is because sites such as sound cloud and Youtube allow musicians to share their music and build a fan base, whereas if they were signed to a large company this artist development would be arranged or advertised by the company.

I believe that the creators of Youtube have made a large impact on the online age, my reason being is that they changed the way we look at music as a society as well as education and media as a whole.
