Okay, so last night I ended staying up late to read the latest chapter and damn. Did. you. give. us. some. angst!!!! And I don’t think anyone has pointed this out but it just gets to me so much that Dani’s coping mechanism in repressing her feelings for the equally dumbass Jamie is to drag her by the collar or suspenders (nice touch by the way) and have her way with her even more than usual and
Jamie’s way is by unconsciously turning into a Proper Soft Domestic Girlfriend material of a woman (driving her home, letting her sleep in the morning EVEN JUMPING IN TO CUDDLE WITH HER, asking her out to watch movies and have dinner AND BREAKFAST together and READING UP ON SHIT THAT MATTERS TO DANI JUST BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO BE READY IF EVER SHE— I can’t. I just can’t deal with how they deal their secret love ffs. The way you write this is so seamless and faultlessly beautiful it’s almost hurts reading it you know?? God, please continue to torture us, it’s truly an experience. 1) Thank you so much. 2) I cannot express how much fun it has been to write a character who is only interested in sex, and one who wants to find absolute happiness her way, and then have them each use the logical coping mechanism of the OTHER person to deal with Accidental Feelings. Honestly. So much fun. And in a way that feels, to me at least, extremely fitting of their actual canon counterparts.
