Life is one gigantic roller coaster, and just like any other roller coaster it goes by really fast. And even though we are all aware of that, we still waste our precious time thinking about things that doesn’t (or at least shouldn’t) really matter. So I decided to make a list of the things we’ve all thought about at some point of our lives that doesn’t (or shouldn’t) really matter.

  Number one: The past

            Alright so let me set this straight, we are all human beings therefore we all make mistakes and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But the thing about mistakes is that you are suppose to learn from them (which I believe we all do at some point, it’s just that some people need to commit the same mistake over and over to learn their lesson and others just learn it right away). Wishing things would have turned out differently or wanting that this or that hadn’t happened is completely useless, you are just wasting your time thinking about it. So, next time you make a mistake don’t torture yourself thinking about it all day long, what’s in the past it’s in the past, you need to focus on what’s happening around you right now and make sure that you won’t make the same mistake again.

  Number two: “What ifs”

            We all have had our “what if” moments in our lives, and those who just sat and wondered what would have happened if they had done this or that know how awful it feels to regret that decision later. So instead of wondering if the girl you like likes you back just go talk to her, and even is she doesn’t like you back at least you know that and you don’t have to spend the rest of your school years wondering what would have happened if you had told her how you really felt.

  Number three: What people think or say about you.

  Number four: The future

            We are asked what we want to be when we grow up and our plans for the future from a very young age, which induces us to think that we have to have our lives figured out and that can be extremely stressful. Life goes by pretty fast, if we spend our time thinking about the future we can miss the incredible things happening around us right now.  Stop worrying about tomorrow, live for today.
