Camp counselors Lashton having their own tradition of meeting up once a week for a midnight swim in the lake to unwind, and even though they have only ever been friends, one night Ashton notices how Luke's skin glows in the moonlight and without thinking presses a soft kiss to Luke's lips bc holy shit Luke is BEAUTIFUL. When Luke pulls back with a flustered "what was that for?" Ashton merely shrugs and blushes, before Luke manages to mumble out a shy "you can do that again, if you want".

(now you've got me started, hold on to your bobbysocks) Camp counselor Ashton hadn't really noticed the tall, blond new counselor for cabin 8, but BOY did he notice him during the first campfire, fingers expertly gliding over the strings of his guitar, and when his mouth opened and that angelic voice reached Ashton's ears, Ashton had to remind himself to breathe and that there were other people around bc oh shit, now he was staring at the blue eyed boy across from him who just smiled as he sang.

luke being shy and ducking his head slightly when him and ashton lock eyes, but he keeps singing and when he looks up again, his eyes lock onto ashton’s again like he is singing right to him. but when he stops, all the little girls are cheering and fawning over luke and ashton is kicked into reality like “this boy is most likely straight…. he’d never like me…”
