There wasn’t a single thing about this situation that Adriana didn’t loathe. She hated that Daniel was behind bars for something she knew in her heart he didn’t do. It didn’t matter what the police thought or anyone else really. Adriana knew him, and even when he and her father hadn’t gotten along at all, Daniel never would have lifted a hand to the man. She was terrified for her father, worried he might never wake up and afraid to know what could have caused such lasting damage to a werewolf; not that she could mention that part to the police. Adriana also missed having the kids around. Ever since Daniel had been taken away, they’d been staying with their grandparents, and while she knew they were safe and well cared for, she hated that their lives had been uprooted again.
Now, to make things worse, Adriana had felt Daniel’s pain and anger radiating through her last night, and while she couldn’t quite tell what was going on besides a fight, nor could she do anything about it, she did her best to make sure he knew she was there with him, offering her strength and her love until he’d calmed down. Even then they had stayed closely connected, wordless reassurances going back and forth between the two of them until neither could keep their eyes open anymore.
The very next morning found her at the prison as soon as visiting hours had started, shortly after leaving the hospital to see her father. There was a ridiculously long process to make sure she wasn’t smuggling anything in or posing any kind of danger, but as soon as she was allowed into the yard and laid eyes on Daniel again, Adri ran over to him and threw herself into his arms, doing her best to not touch the obvious injuries and bruises that she could see all over his face and arms. “Oh, Oso, what have they done to you?” she murmured, pulling back and running a hand delicately over his cheek. @dxn-bolton
