I wanted to go out and explore the town to create some dance content but, the weather said No! I had two choices, either stay in and relax or use the space within to create.
Often times outside influences (people, past and current situations, trauma etc.) help determine who we become in the face of society and in return we repress the parts of us we don't want to be associated with into our subconscious (whether they're good or bad qualities), creating a SHADOW SELF.
The more I craved to be my MOST AUTHENTIC SELF is the more I realized I had to come face to face with the qualities that made up my shadow self. I was afraid, afraid of the BITTERNESS, PAIN, TRAUMA I buried deep inside my soul not knowing how much BOLDNESS, CREATIVITY, LOVE, CONFIDENCE, PASSION, SENSUALITY I had also kept hidden.
it takes continuous work to find the balance (there's no light without darkness). We can never eliminate the "dark parts" of ourselves neither is it wise to keep it ignored as it only gets more powerful overtime and can become chaotic for ourselves and the world but to find flexibility, stability, rarity, peace, unconditional love is definitely a gift of a lifetime.
