1989 Dance'n Romance Maxie seems to have had several changes. Really early promotion would suggest that the assortment dress “So Chic in Pink” was planned as the lead/doll dress. The fashion was used in the 1989 Maxie Licensing Kit and then again on the “Turn on the Charm” promotional flyer along with Dance’n Romance Rob sporting blond hair. The “So Chic in Pink” prototype surfaced as a Jem prototype, but it was designed in March of 1988 — long after Jem was cancelled.
