Brook is back! 🐿️🌿
I tried making her close to how most people remember her but I tweaked her a bit to make her more different from Helen. I’ll be making Dottie Cupid, Shanelle Minks (who I’m renaming to Marina Minks), Chett R. Cheese, and Mack N. Cheese as well. I may or may not do their designs for the other eras but we’ll see. 🤷
Oki now I can yap about Brook in each era.
PTT - Brook started out as a parody of Shelley Duvall. She was very flirty and kind of shy. She’s more bubbly than the other guest stars. She somehow managed to make Chuck E. flustered. Chuck E. would try to insult her but he would just start choking on his words just looking at her. In the first few showtapes Chuck E. refused to admit that he had a crush on Brook but Pasqually got him to finally admit it later on. In her last showtape, Brook showed her annoyance with Jasper’s laughter and (after the technicians backstage turned Jasper off) Chuck E. immediately asked Brook to marry him. She said yes and they ended the show off with a party. She would be briefly mentioned in other showtapes, implying that her and Chuck E. are married and she’s now a Broadway actress (yes Helen is jealous that Brook is a Broadway actress now and she isn’t lol).
Tux - Brook got Mitzified just like Helen. Her and Helen were now shown to be best friends instead of rivals. Brook became the drummer and choreographer for Munch’s Make Believe Band. She loves to brush and style her hair. She’s rarely seen without her hairbrush lol. While Helen was designed to relate to little girls, Brook was designed to relate to teenage girls. She’s a lot more energetic than her PTT counterpart. Her and Chuck E. were implied to be married. Chuck E. would always try to charm her onstage which would make Brook all giggly and shy. Sometimes Brook would flirt back at him, usually through a song. This would make Chuck E. either just stutter or completely short circuit and crash. Jasper would tease them a lot which made Chuck E. snap at him sometimes. I feel like the CU stage would be different if Brook existed. I honestly think she would’ve been a retrofit of Dook LaRue. Before you get mad Pasqually still exists. He’d just be a retrofit of a different RAE character.
Boxer Brook (Coach) - This era was a weird time for Brook. This is where her iconic tough personality originated from. CEC wanted to make her more tomboyish to stand out from Helen. Why this time was weird was because things were more…experimental. They wanted to have Chuck E. and Brook break up and portray them as just friends. They did this by having them break up in Chuck E. Cheese in The Galaxy 5000. Chuck E. cheats on her with Astrid and Brook gets mad and tries to get revenge on him. The rest of the band stop her from sabotaging the race and she calms down. Her and Chuck E. then break up and agree to just be friends. Not a lot of people saw the movie so people were just confused when new showtapes came out and showed them as just friends. CEC decided to pair Chuck E. and Brook back up but now they’re boyfriend and girlfriend. This became permanent and CEC started sweeping the breakup under the rug.
Avenger - Brook became a tomboyish breakdancer (and yes I also kind of used Bratz as inspiration). Her personality changed slightly and she was more tough, spunky, and competitive. She also skateboarded like Chuck E. They would act as a duo in a lot of commercials. In showtapes Brook would flirt with Chuck E. often, making him extremely flustered. If she blew him a kiss he’d overheat and him, along with the lights and the TVs, would shut down. Larry would have to fix it so the show would continue. Chuck E. would flirt with Brook sometimes but she mostly did all the flirting. Jasper would tease them like he did in Tux era, but Chuck E. wouldn’t snap at him. Instead he’d just become a stuttering mess. Brook would be show playing both the drums and the flute (foreshadowing) in music videos. She was also kind of a gamer girl and she hated losing.
Rockstar - Brook’s personality didn’t change but she’s no longer a gamer girl. CEC gave that trait to Helen so they could focus more on Brook being a breakdancer. Also Brook is more short-tempered than she was in Avenger era. Her and Chuck E’s dynamic would stay the same but ofc Chuck E. is a little more edgy. He and Brook would sometimes make jokes for the adults too. Jasper didn’t tease them as much but when he did Brook would yell at him or just tell him to shut up. Chuck E. and Brook sometimes argue but they always end up making up. Thoug if they’re arguing over what holiday is better (Christmas or Halloween) they’ll give each other the silent treatment for a while. She’s no longer the drummer in the band but now she’s the flautist. Pasqually takes over for her on the drums. In her backstory she and Chuck E. were childhood friends at St. Marinara’s Orphanage until Brook got adopted. Nobody adopted Chuck E. and eventually he grew up and I think you guys know the rest lmao. Brook was an outcast in her adoptive family and it made her develop anxiety and depression. Because of what she went through she became more tough and rebellious. Many years later she bumps into Chuck E. again and they reminisce about their childhood. She shows Chuck E. that she can play the flute and she asks if she can join his band. He immediately says yes and he tells her how much he missed her. They slowly started falling in love after that and Helen was the first to catch on. Helen helped Brook get the courage to ask him out.
Happynest (Chuck E. and Friends) - Brook’s personality doesn’t change except she’s more sassy and an old personality trait of hers returns. She likes brushing and styling her hair just like she did in Tux era. Her hair is now so long that it drags on the ground. She still breakdances but now she’s portrayed as just being a dancer. Her and Chuck E. are still childhood friends that slowly fell in love but now Chuck E. has parents too lol. Brook sometimes uses her long hair as a weapon. She cares for Chuck E. and his friends and she’ll protect them no matter what. She sometimes likes to graffiti buildings but don’t tell anyone. She and Chuck E. both have anxiety and depression now lmao. They try to help each other as best as they can and Helen and Bella try to help them too. Helen and Bella are Brook’s best friends and she always feels more confident whenever they and Chuck are around. Btw she’s the same height as Bella’s mom bc I thought it would be funny if Brook was taller than Chuck E. They have a girlboss x malewife kind of dynamic.
