As a feminist, I was shocked and offended that an all-male couple is competing in a dancing competition I never watch and do not care about. This brings the wimmin's representation to less than 50%, an obvious violation of human rights.

When I were a child, the Tiller Girls appeared on television every week. They were 100% female, which is much more like true equality.

I think I want to see a dance movie where there are two ambiguously raced adults where the female is married and the male is single and there is still have that whole will they won’t they relationship because of their passionate dancing.  The woman’s husband is getting upset that she is spending so much time dancing with her partner rather than being home with him and she keeps trying to explain that its just because of the up coming event and that when its over she will spend more time at home but he is still upset. And they get all the way to the end of the competition and win and the woman goes back to her husband and the man goes up to his parents who congratulate him and when the woman brings her husband over to her partner’s parents its then revealed that they have been brother and sister the whole time and that her husband was really just grumpy that she was dancing a lot rather than thinking that his wife was cheating on him and the whole movie ends right there.

I think I would enjoy that plot twist. SURPRISE! They are related and were just dancing together because two people can dance together and not have it end with them frickle fracking. I would like to see that movie.
