Shit, her client just hung up. Three days until the article was due and she was getting zero leads on the Sacks Incident--and her client was tired of waiting. That was fine, though, she was investigating the event on her own prior to her client contacting her.
Still, Estella did feel a bit guilty for not finding more before the date. She'd have to cobble together something for the article if she wanted to get paid...
"...and that is why I've come to you."
"Wauters! Estella Wauters. With a 'U'. Yes. That's me."
"O-oh. Oh my. ...what are you?"

She was getting nowhere with this, and yet even as Estella scrawled more notes as she watched the news, she couldn't help but lean closer to the TV the cafe provided. The sound of action, of puzzlement and shock surrounding Sacks Industries was enough to attract her attention, and admittedly, she loved this sort of thing.
However, what she didn't like was not getting a good lead.
"No, that was a flub. No, that was a false lead. No, he was senile and drunk and of course he saw giant battle toads in the middle of the night, of course..." The sound of a pen scratching out some of her notes was soon accompanied by an exasperated sigh. "There has to be a good lead somewhere..."
