So I ventured out of my comfort zone this evening to attend a comic workshop gathering here in the city I live in. While it was a little stressful not knowing anyone and being a bit too shy to pitch into conversation too heavily this go 'round I will say that I am excited for more. I was not the most or least professional person in that room by far, and that's always good for one reason. Why you may ask? That is a grand learning opportunity for me, for everyone involved really. I have plenty I can learn from these new folks who seem very open and cordial from what I've experienced tonight and who knows? Maybe I can teach something to someone in that room one day too. So, for now, I'll say that if you can get yourself there then venture out of your comfort zone. Be the new kid on the block and ramble with your close group about your nerves and worries, insecurities and limited set. Never let it stop you though. Be adventurous, be curious, and, most of all, be ready to learn from those around you or to teach when you have the chance.
