#thinking about how in the beginning of dandelion!reader and countrybf!stacks relationship it was hell for her.

stacks busy schedule and her living with a strict father. it felt like everything was working against them. everytime she tried to text him she would be left on delivered or read for days and he will follow up with "i'm sorry, i got busy."

of course she never complained, would only say "thats okay!" because she loved stack so much that the thought of them not being together was worse than what she's putting herself through.

until she ran into stack and his ex in town. days prior she reached out to him asking if he would like to go too the farms market this weekend but of course he told her he was busy.

she saw mary before stack, the other girl was in a pink floral dress that flowed softly with the breeze. she was standing out front of the chows shop. dandelion!reader walked behind her swiftly hoping she goes unnoticed but fate has other plans.

"omg! ♡?" marys voice rang out, surprised to see the younger girl. dandelion turns around softly saying hi, before mary could start up a conversation stack comes out the shop "so they didn't have white lilies-" he stops in his tracks seeing dandelion.

dandelion facial expressions are enough to make stack sick. mary speaks unaware of the situation unfolding in front of her "♡, you should join us for lunch! stack was talking about this-" mary noticing the unwell expression on her face "oh my, you don't look so well are you okay?"

dandelion!reader rushes out a quick "just ate something that doesn't sit well with me. i have to go!" stack tries to call out for the younger girl but she ignores him.

#thinking about how dandelion!reader asked canon!stack to kill her father or at least help her with a plan to kill him.

stack wasn't a stranger when it came to the younger girl having issues with her father, they were childhood friends. she was 18 when stack left the delta for a quote, "better life." he hoped she would do the same.

years later, he came back to her being 23 now. she looked worse when he left 6 years ago. in those years stack had been gone he failed to write her, she always sent letters upon letters until eventually she stopped.

so when stack found her standing at the edge of where the creek water, gently rocks against the land, he felt something turn in his stomach. her back is facing him, he can see where her spine begins, her collarbone is visible to the point where its sickening.

so stack wasn't surprised when she asked. "i just wanna be normal eli.." she says barley audible. stack stares at her for a moment, just a moment before speaking. "is that what you want?" his voice is hard.

"i wouldnt be asking if i had any other choice if you dont want to do it, i will do it myself." her voice is strained, her hands shake as she goes to stand from the kitchen chair. "stop, stop!" stack shouts, his hand is on top of hers. he takes them and presses a firm kiss. "i never said i wouldn't."

INTRODUCING DANDELION!READER

MEET DANDI . . . she is the definition of a southern sweetheart, big brown doe eyes, soft honey like voice with a tennessee accent, has tons of classical music score books, lace upon lace items, cowgirl boots, ethel cain consumer, religious trauma, rain lover, book lover, daddy issues galore, gets along with animals better than people, baker at heart, poetry, blues music & tea.

dandelion!reader is sensitive, always tiptoeing around her father to perverse whatever remains of their relationship but her dad is a timebomb with every little thing setting him off in an instant. “you never do anything fucking right!” he seethes with anger over her accidently knocking over the pale of chicken feed due to the weight of the bucket. “i’m sorry, i will go get anot-“ she squeaks out before her dad voice overlaps hers, loud and demanding “NO YOU’VE DONE ENOUGH”

dandelion!reader when she first met the twins is intimidated, not because of the bone chilling stories she heard about the pair but because they are so breathtaking that she trips over her words when asked by one of them if she can bake them two pies for the opening night of their juke club . . . of course she said yes with no hesitation

dandelion!reader ran into the twins weeks later at the train station was shocked when she heard her name being called only to turn around to see the oldest twin, smoke telling her to come over. “what are you doing here by yourself? nothing but trouble around here.” his tone lace with sternness and concern. “o-oh, i had to meet someone for my dad” she rushes out.

dandelion!reader confessing to both of the twins months after they developed a bond, that her father is horrible towards her and sometimes scares her. “i don’t want to go home” she says it as more of a plead than anything, stack speaks “you have too baby, can’t have you involved with our work.” she looks down at her hands, picking at her fingers. smoke notices the change in her demeanor, “why don’t you like not goin home, huh?” she froze, before speaking “he scares me sometimes, screams at me for the smallest things, sometimes throws things.” smoke and stack don’t say anything, they just share a knowning look.

dandelion!reader notices that smoke and stack treat her differently depending on what twin is dealing with her. for instance she realizes that smoke is more impatient when it comes to her bratty attitude than stack is and stack being more aggressive and manhandles her in public not caring who sees.

dandelion!reader who depends on the twins to give her that father authority she craves, but most importantly someone to properly love her and show her what being loved is like.
