((I was tired af when I answered your ask, but now that I know who you like to play as, I can actually help you.

Yeah... I like playing as Tao, too. She's the fastest character in the game and if you can handle her pace she can be nigh un-catachable. HOWEVER her damage output is really low and her defense is shit. Add to that the fact that guys like Tager have better range than her and she can be a little disused. 

Tager, as you've noticed, is your typical tank with massive attack power and the highest defense in the game. He's also as slow as molasses. If I were using Tao against Tager, I'd try to hit him quickly and get out of there until I can actually land something substantial. Tao has projectiles and her drive can be really unpredictable, so you should be able to confuse him enough until he's down. Just stay on your toes and do your hyperactive kitty cat thing.

And if that doesn't work, you might wanna switch to someone who has a more ready advantage, like my main Lambda/Nu. Tbh your question confused me at first because I think Tagers are a cakewalk using Lambda/Nu lol.))
