The Seventh Perfection is a novella made up of one-sided dialogue and lets you fill in the blanks.
A holographic locket and a mystery is all we, as readers, really get to follow a woman with a perfect memory through the history of the world she lives in. Daniel Polansky's style is unlike anything else I've read. and as usual, the Tor novellas are a joy.
I would have equally enjoyed a whole novel set in this world but I don't think that was the point. This quick dip into a complex political and familial drama was complete on its own. I enjoyed it very much.
