I've always stood behind Big Machine and told not to blame anyone about this album and just sit patiently.
I'm retracting that. I want you to get upset. Danielle has been performing songs she's written, cowritten, etc for months now. And all we get from Big Machine is this tweet???
No mention of any upcoming album. Nothing more than, “I know you all are pissed because we aren’t planning on releasing an album for her anytime soon but did you see her sing with one of our biggest male artists on a song she’s only featured on?” Which for me translates to: We don’t give a f*ck about her since she’s not worth mentioning, but look at this MALE COUNTRY SINGER’S performance that she is only featured on on his new album.
As you can imagine I’m pissed. This was before even mentioning that she's been fed little performances. She got to perform at the TIDAL benefit concert, for f*cks sake. The amount of exposure she got from that, I can't even imagine. But there was nothing to solidify the new exposure with. No album or even a new single to announce to any one of these potential new fans.
This is why I'm standing behind you all in solidarity. We've spent months, years patiently waiting. I will forever support Danielle, and I am in no way upset with her or her team. I'm upset with all the bigwigs in Big Machine and those who keep shutting Danielle down. Who keep tampering down her potential to be a really popular country singer.
So get loud. Keep tweeting BMLG, Scott Borschetta, anyone it takes with #releasedaniellesmusic and other similar hashtags until they get the message or until they block every damn one of us. Make this fandom something impossible to ignore.
I've never been one to be quiet about any of my opinions, and I hope I'm not upsetting anyone in a bad way with this post. It's truly not my intention. My intention is for Danielle's hard work to be shown loud and proud.
