Why does he feel so faint? Why is it that his vision refuses to remain focused? He’s felt bad before but this is something different, something much more unsettling. Kael isn’t one to admit when he’s feeling unwell and, as it would seem, this extends even to when he’s all but shaking on the spot and barely able to keep his balance. Not even the fact that his dizziness has cut him off mid-sentence is enough to deter him nor is his having entirely blanked out for a moment. His legs give way beneath him but he manages to hold himself up against the wall of the nearest building long before he meets the ground.

“ Okay, maybe I do need to sit down or summin’...hospital is not an option, though. Especially since, no, I don’t have cab money. ”

That, and he really doesn’t like doctors. Yet he’s hardly about to vent about his distaste for strangers ‘inspecting’ him and his health to someone he doesn’t know (and it’s only now that Kael realises he’d run into this guy before -- now here meaning the exact point in time in which his visions seems to have steadied).
