For the OC thing, pick whichever character is the shortest? :3
👹 How does you OC act around different people and how does their personality change to match the environment they’re in? How do they act with: friends, family, strangers, children or their lover(s)?
🥊 Does your OC prefer to take the lead or follow orders? With everyone or just with certain people? Is there a reason for this?
🍅 How easily is your OC embarassed? What subjects make them flush and why? What event has made your OC the most embarassed they’ve ever been?
💥 Are there any emotions your OC doesn’t know how to deal with, doesn’t understand or hates having to feel? Any reason behind this?
🏀 Does your OC have any skills that people wouldn’t expect them to have? Do they have a hobby or pass time that others would consider strange or weird? How did they learn this particular skill or pick up this hobby?
ooooh alright~ well Variott is my shortest by virtue of being an asura, but she’s also really small for an asura
👹 Variott is very much a mom friend. That carries over into most situations he finds himself in, making sure the people around him are taken care of and doing alright. Around his parents, he’s pretty openly proud of himself, but he tends to be more reserved around his extrended family and any very asuran asura he runs into. With his partner, @mystery-salad‘s Laighe, he’s gentle but firm and at times just a little tricky, knowing how stubborn she is about not taking time for herself and knowing the best way to get her to is to frame it as an excuse to work. He’s always very friendly, boisterous around people he’s comfortable with, and just happily calm around people he’s extremely comfortable with and close to.
🥊 He’s fine with either and tends to base what he does off the situation. He doesn’t want to take over from everyone and is gladly to leave leading in others’ capable hands, but he is also more than willing to step in and take over if it seem like the current leader doesn’t know what they’re doing or is just ineffective. He was pretty reserved when he was younger and first joined the priory, but his time there taught him that sometimes he has to step up and be more forceful and seen and just really take charge, and those skills led to him becoming the Pact’s lead scout.
🍅 Variott isn’t too easily embarrassed, but despite himself, he still feels pretty embarrassed and ashamed of his ADHD. He tends to avoid the subject of school and his education because of it. On the other, brighter hand, he also can get pretty embarrassed in the blushing wildly but still smiling sense over some of his antics when he was still young and in the priory. He got up to some really dumb shit on dares, and had a lot of fun doing it but caused a lot of messes and trouble. He’ll gladly laugh about them with others but always blushes when that stuff is brought up. His most embarrassing moment was probably when he tried to jump a fire pit on a dare, but completely messed it up. He didn’t get too seriously hurt, but ended up with a pretty big scar because of the whole thing. Ah to be young and dumb again.
💥 To this day, Variott still struggles with grief. He doesn’t know if he feels it right, and he doesn’t know how to handle it when he does feel it. Loss is weird and hard, and he’s close to all of his scouts, who he helped train and get to where they are, so each scout that dies in the field is such a personal loss, but one he just doesn’t fully understand his feelings around. He’ll often forget someone is gone, and have to deal with the realization again, and he just doesn’t know how it’s supposed to feel? It doesn’t get easier though. People have told him it will, but it doesn’t.
🏀 It always surprises people to learn that Variott is an artist, who has actually put a lot of time into learning oil portraiture. Everyone knows her as the head scout for the pact, managing all the scouts and all the reports that then go on to the commander. She’s amazingly agile and strong in the field, and so good at keeping track of where all her scouts are for how long. And she spends her free time baking muffins. And that’s all known and makes some sense, but where did she learn to do art??? When did she have the time to study portraiture and work with oil paints??? The twist is she started with sketching and painting landscapes as a hobby to get away from school life, and she picked up cartography with the priory because of it.
