You know what's wild? I remember watching this animatic 8 years ago. Dark but great. I had the random urge to watch it again recently.

It's by Dany Darkly. I was kind of curious if they'd ever drawn any more artwork of their OC's and...holy cow I was surprised.

Apparently they started a little canvas webtoon back in 2021. Pretty far along, not quite finished yet. It's not supposed to be incredibly long but I'm actually quite impressed with the pacing, lore, character writing and development of the relationship between the two leads. Very plesant surprise! Apparently it is considered an AU from the original Wolfsong. The comic is definitely romance, but the original animatic is much darker and left up to interpretation by the creator. I call that a major win. You can either finally have your romance story or keep to the original tragedy.

Characters from Wolf Song, an animatic by @danydarkly​. Recently, she’s kicked off a webcomic going into their background, and to celebrate, I edited this old sketch I did into a full picture!

Some variants on my social media banner~ Featuring: Leikos, Wilhelm (OC from a future webcomic project titled, Insolitus), me, Heidi and Holly (the main character in my upcoming thesis film, Misplaced) Oh, and Maeve (my cat) a.k.a. my precious child <3  Their respective sources have different styles (Holly is a stop-motion character, for one) so I tried a sort-of uniforming style and it doesn’t look too shab

Inspired by both @danydarkly ‘s wolfsong animatc and Set it off’s Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing, I outfit swapped the two characters.

I can see them being friends, but then well..things happen....WHATEVER I’M KEEPING IT HAPPY XD

This took me a few hours to do but i really like how it turned out. Some details are more frustrating than others, however (*cough* lighting *cough*)
