Peng, also known as Dapeng, is a legendary creature from Chinese mythology. It is an enormous bird, that transforms from a giant fish known as a Kun. It is said to come from the north, and is so huge its wings cover the sky and it roils the ocean.
The legend of Peng and Kun was first laid down in the Daoist classic Zhuangzi. The bird has been likened to the Garuda of Hindu legend, while the fish is comparable to Leviathan. Peng is often seen as a symbol of freedom in Daoism.

Currently exploring #China and its rich #culture! I'm taking a break from my high-speed #luxury #travels to focus more on quality over quantity. Before I began blogging, I lived for 5 years around Asia where I focused on gaining deeper understandings of various cultures. After so much movement, I've decided to once again return to my previous lifestyle. I love both ways of living but life is all about balance ☺️ 🇨🇳 #Dapeng #大鹏 #中国 #深圳 #Life #TravelBlog #TravelBlogger #TravelDiary #NewFriends #exploring #understanding #qualityoverquantity (at 大鹏)
