after some (read: almost zero) reflection upon myself and my philosophical/moral beliefs, I’ve decided that emotionally and philosophically I am no different from an average shonen anime protagonist. life DOES have meaning, everything that happens IS important, and the point of our existence as a species is to show kindness and compassion and to make the lives of others better

I’ll die on a thousand goddamn hills about it, I’ll punch god about it, I’m sick of “no one matters and positivity doesn’t have any value or worth” nihilism and I am charging up my beam attack as we speak

it's very gratifying to me that eldritch monsters and unreality/weirdcore and cosmic horror have become Things That Remind People Of Me. I want to be kind and supporting and caring and loving always, and for my loved ones to associate those things with me, but I also want ineffably monstrous tentacle beasts, seemingly endless corridors through which the length and breadth of all liminal spaces can be traversed, and plodding, oceanic leviathans to invoke "oh, that's Daphne" just as much as I want dragons and reptiles in general to do that
