Favorite dapper looks 2017 (previous years)
Since I shaved my head, everything I've done/said/worn has been like 8x gayer
Hey there! Fancy a Vintage Style Edit?
Feeling like your wardrobe is falling a bit flat of your personality? No worries, @femme-for-wear is here to help! We’re running a lesbian style edit
Whats that?
A lesbian style edit is an event aimed towards lesbian woman such as yourself!* If you feel as though your wardrobe would benefit from a vintage revamp, send us an application using the instructions given below. From your application, a few wardrobe pieces or an outfit will be carefully put together for you and posted here, @femme-for-wear . Information for where you can purchase items will also be given.
This is a femme aimed blog, but I’m butch/gnc. Should I still apply?
Darling, gnc women are a fighting force in lesbian fashion and we’d love to have you here. Simply state in your application whether you are seeking a more traditionally masculine or feminine style (or anywhere in between) and we’ll do our best. It should be noted that since this is a vintage lesbian style edit, you can expect your results to be dapper.
Why here and now?
a) because this fun.
b) Fashion is a means of self-expression, exploration, rebellion, and finding community. The lesbian community knows this better than anybody, having created and flaunted some of the most iconic looks of the LGBT community. In a time in which queer identity and fashion is called into a critical and explorative light, the need for style exploration is great. Not all will find the right fit for them in vintage looks, but we aim to be there for those that do.
c) but mostly because this is fun
When will this event be happening?
The event will be open for submissions until the 1st September 2017. Replies will begin to be published @femme-for-wear or the 20th August. If you have any questions, drop an ask in our inbox! Dont be shy, we’d love to hear from you.
Still interested? Why dont you take a look at our application template under the cut!
*The event will also accept applications from other Sapphic women, but not from men or male-aligned people.
It should also be noted that the outfits arranged will be suitable for latesummer/early autumn wear. We are quite aware here that not all ladies come with curves, and if this should apply to you (particuarly if you have been assigned male at birth) this should be expressed to us on your application along with a brief description of any effects you hope your style edit might achieve. We will do our very best to find the right fit for you xo (exp. I would like my style edit to draw attention away from my upper legs and arms and draw more attention towards my waist)
This sign told me I mattered so I treated myself to a hair cut! Am I butch, now? ❤️🏋️

She is white and has dark brown hair, short on the sides and worn curly off to one side on top. She wears tortoiseshell and pale pink-framed glasses. She wears a dark green button-front vest over a chambray button-front shirt, slim-cut jeans, and knee-high brown boots.]
Just squeaking by with one more outside shot!

So excited to get to wear this suit again! I need a few more coordinating shirts to wear underneath, I think.
