Remorse is a Hilda fanfic by AO3 user DaringDanger (and FF.net user D.D. Danger) @nisse-room (An HFN member and Mod Mori on this blog)
The story features an alternate world where Hilda’s mother passes away in the middle of season 1, and how Hilda and those in her sphere are affected by the loss. It features some dark material but is well worth the read.
