imagine dark Stan. Bill and Richie use intimidation and guilt. Stan is kind and sweet to Eddie. His philosophy is “the prettiest birds need to trust you before you cage it”. So he’ll cuddle Eddie and stroke his hair while he’s drowsy while whispering bird facts and he’d share sweets with him, building up eddies trust. When Eddie trusts him enough, Stan doesn’t let him leave. He locks him in a room but is still kind to him. Eddies scared but Stan just smiles and says”pretty birds need cages dove”
Damn, love, this is something else. I hadn’t thought of dark Stan before but now I want it! Like Richie would be obviously and overtly obsessed with Eddie, but with Stan it would be a lot more subtle, and he’d be able to worm his way into Eddie’s affections without Eddie even noticing. Being thoughtful, being gentle, stroking his hand down Eddie’s neck and telling him, “I won’t be like Richie; I’ll treat you sweeter than he ever would,” until Eddie’s completely fallen under his spell. Like Stan’s kindness would be almost hypnotic, not even realising just how deep Stan’s sunk his claws into him until it’s too late. GOD and I just Iove the idea of Stan saying to him, “pretty birds need cages, dove,” that is some deliciously dark obsession right there. Give me this fic please!!
