Frecklewish! I am going to continue with Mapleshade's Vengeance designs through Thunderclan just because I had the motivation for it now rather than later. She is polarized in our fandom but I've never had strong feelings about her as a character. I am pretty sure that she is a younger cat in MV, but she just read to me like a childless woman archetype in such a way that I designed her a bit like a disney spinster. I don't know that I care a ton whether she actually resides in the dark forest or not, but the way she grieves by projecting her attachment to an idea onto children does rub me the wrong way. But that also makes her a complex and flawed character so! At least she's interesting haha
