Rewatching 1897 and I realized what R*ger D*vis' Crazy Dirk bit reminded me of

REJECT "well written" "award show sweeping" television culture! Watch a show so OLD, so PROBLEMATIC, so QUESTIONABLY written, you don't even bother BRINGING IT UP irl because NOONE gives a SHIT and the only people who DO care are small circle of people ONLINE and BOOMERS and you get attached to a PATHETIC little man and he only has SIXTEEN fics on ao3 and YOU have to WRITE one of them

Jesus Christ: The Bible
Chris Jennings: Doomed from birth, Chris was cursed to be a werewolf after the actions of his selfish great grandfather 70+ years before. This led to losing his future as an architect, disappearing from his family's lives and believing he murdered his girlfriend for 2 years who survived but was left in a vegetative state. He never got the chance to repair his relationship with his deceased parents and brother, he struggles to bond with his traumatized little sister who he's been thrust into the position of guardian of, and just may be the reason his cousin went mad after witnessing Chris transform. To top it off? His great grandfather gained immortality and escaped his own werewolf curse, giving Chris just a half hearted "don't kill yourself" instead of any sort of apology (at minimum!!!)
