Hii I really like your posts, is it possible if you describe how each diaboy used to treat their sacrificial bride?, or like how each of them dresses? (sk brothers and mk brothers), thank youu :)
I truly appreciate your kind words! Thank you so much.🤍
The Sacrificial Bride Experience
A huge trigger warning for dark themes ahead. This post is not suitable for anyone who doesn’t want to engage with the darker side of DL!!
The previous brides did not have a say in who they wish to choose, but instead they were indirectly chosen by the brothers who were interested in her. The sacrifice was for all six brothers, so whoever claimed her first, dined first.
I also want to add that most did not last long—two weeks was the record before Yui came.
Shu got the most brides. Not because he sought them out, but because his calm demeanor fooled many girls into thinking that he was their safe space. Oh, and loved it. Shu is canonically the most sadistic Sakamaki brother, and he is anything but kind to those he hasn’t formed a bond with. A bride could have ran up to him screaming because they were being chased down by his brothers, and if he wasn’t interested in her? He would have told her to shove off and let him sleep in peace.
I think his first Drama CD ( Do-S Kyuuketsu CD Vol. 6) shows exactly how he treated his past brides; a lot of victim blaming, manipulation, and getting them to do the dirty work while he watched with glee.
Shu always has his knife on him, and every unsuspecting bride who sought out his protection got to meet it in one way or another. He also didn’t refrain from being his perverse self, and probably humiliated them on the daily.
Overall, his brides usually lasted a week—less if a full moon was approaching. Most died from being drained dry by him or another brother.
Reiji was always the more active brother, and that showed with his brides. He would go after the sacrifices that either seemed very meek, so he had an excuse to punish them a lot, or brides that were almost a bit scandalous (in his eyes ofc) to try and tame them.
Reiji isn’t violent like his siblings, oh no. He rarely bit his brides, but the emotional damage he left behind was worse than any bite mark he could have inflicted on him. From watching them polish his fine china and waiting for them to slip up, to giving them chores that left his brides beyond exhausted, his eyes were always on them.
Any slip up was met with a whiplash, or a crude remark from Reiji. He controlled every aspect of their lives, going as far as telling them how to dress, what to eat, and when to go to bed.
He did protect his sacrificial brides from his bloodthirsty brothers, but only because he didn’t prefer sharing his prey, or having her blood soiled by them.
Most brides also lasted around a week, probably even less than that. Some died from the experiments he performed on them, others from blood loss, and few from being left in the dungeons.
Now Ayato didn’t go for every bride that was sent to them. The man has high standards, and would rather go out to hunt, than suck blood from a bride that didn’t appeal to him.
When such a bride did appear however, he did not back down, and was always the first to claim her right there. He would hide in the entrance hall of their home, and watch the unsuspecting sacrifice arrive, and assess from there whether she was worthy of the great him or not.
Being his bride meant having no privacy. How dare you hide anything from your master? He did not appreciate snappy brides, and if they were unlucky, immediately got rid off them.
He is a sadist through and through, and his pranks got crueler by the day. If that wasn’t enough, he too enjoyed pointing out every single flaw he detected on their bodies. If he found their weak spot? He would continuously call out that insecurity and make it seem like a favor that the great Ayato was even paying attention to someone like them. (Cue Ayato relentlessly calling Yui Chichinashi)
He also wasn’t above spiking his sacrifices food to see how it affected them. Ayato likes his prey alive, so he didn’t do anything to them while they were unconscious. He would also not drink from them if they were no longer alive, as his preference in blood is hot and sweet.
Oh, he also used potions on them that Reiji gave to him. If they died from it? He blamed them for it.
“Oi, don’t die on me just yet! The great me is still thirsty.”
His brides lasted anywhere from 2-6 days. The majority were drained dry by him.
You thought Ayato was bad? Welcome to Kanato’s world.
Being favored by Kanato is like being stuck in a liminal horror game. His brides were subjected to his dark magic, and bad temper. Kanato would order them around from day one, making them bake him treats, or having them feed him.
If they messed up, he would injure them with what angered him in the first place. Fed him too slowly? The fork would be stuck in their legs.
Their baked goods weren’t sweet enough? He would make them eat plain sugar until he was satisfied…
If they overcame those situations, he would invite them to his doll room, where he would info dump on how he created his wax dolls, and laugh at their fear.
When Kanato offered them some of his cake ? It was always a trap. Either it was cursed, or poisoned—but none were fatal. Only he is allowed to do that to his dolly.
If they were cursed, they would suffer from horrible visions, or maybe even get mind controlled by him. Of they got truly unlucky, he would use those brides for his next ritual.
If they were poisoned, he would laugh at their misery.
“Hehhe, Teddy, look! Our dollie is writhing quite a lot on the floor, isn’t she?”
Most brides lasted maybe 2-3 days, and always because of the same reasons. He didn’t kill his brides with violence, as he couldn’t risk to have a beat up doll on display.
Laito…I don’t know if I want to go there. I think his HBD route says enough.
He shared his brides with his brothers, so they were subjected to double the danger. Though he would not allow them to kill his sacrifice.
Another TW for the paragraph below, mentions of suicide!
(His cruelty knew no boundaries, and brides would grow more unstable by the day. He seldomly killed his brides, as most did that for him—under his watch, of course. Laito didn’t allow them to dissociate on him, as a quick smack across the face would get their attention back to him.)
His brides lasted the longest. A few days to two weeks.
(If he came to like them, which never occurred, as Laito has severe problems with forming attachments, he would not share his sacrificial bride with anyone. As we know from Cordelia, he is extremely jealous.)
Subaru never chose a bride, not even once. Most came to him hoping for help, but all he would do is tell them to run away. He wasn’t going to be caught up in any family drama because of them.
Though, of a bride has exceptionally good smelling blood, he would be torn between keeping his distance, and attacking her right there. He is still a sadist, and a vampire, so if they tempted him too much (in his books that is being too close by) he would eventually give in and drain their blood.
During a full moon, however, nothing held him back. Subaru would seek out the current sacrificial bride by his own means.
Again, in his Do-S Kyuuketsu CD Vol. 2, he pointed out that Yui was purposefully taunting him with her blood, and wanted him to bite her. Subaru is not above victim blaming at all. He even likes it.
When Yui ran away, he gladly obliged and hunted her down.
Thats how most brides died from his hands. Extreme bloodlust, mixed with his violent tendencies. He either drained them dry, or killed them by the sheer force of his attacks.
So, no. Subaru isn’t the cute tsundere baby he gets portrayed as by the fandom, but is capable of being as cruel as the rest of his siblings.
For the Mukamis, I don’t think they ever received any sacrificial brides.
The most they got were blood slaves from the Makai. Those were sadly just a meal—lasted less than a full 24 hours as they were probably starving by the time they arrived at the Mukami mansion.
Ruki would be the strictest, not hesitating to punish his prey before feasting on them. If they continued to defy him, they met an early demise.
Kou, on the other hand, often loved to play with his blood bag. Having them hide from him, only for him to find them in minutes.
If he was in a bad mood? I doubt anyone would defied the blonde vampire. He simply drained them dry in a frenzy, letting his frustration out on them.
When it comes to Yuma, good night. I feel like he might have ended his preys before he intended to, as he is extremely strong. If not, he simply feasted on them cruelly before returning to his garden work, and Ruki scolded him for not cleaning after himself.
Azusa…hm. He probably tried to help them feel better by cutting them, and laughing at their “sweet” reactions. If he was exceptionally thirsty, where even a masochist as himself could enjoy it, he would not drink from their cuts, but immediately latch onto their necks.
Sometimes, the Mukami brothers even shared a “meal” between the four of them. Yuma and Kou often argued about who drank too much, while Azusa m didn’t get enough blood, much to Ruki’s frustration. So this quickly came to an end, as a hangry Azusa is no fun.
Thank you for reading.💜
