Cocoon Nebula - IC 5146 Located in Cygnus, the IC 5146 is a reflection and emission nebula. I finally decided to put everything together on the Celestron EdgeHD 8 for deep space and do some testing to make sure my guiding worked and that I could reach focus. Guiding was the easy part, focus was the pain. I finally got it and on the first night I captured m27 amd NGC 869, those I will post soon. On night two, I decided to shoot the Cocoon on both my Edge as well as my Meade 80mm Triplet. This here is from the Edge, and though I had some focus drift in the middle of my imaging (can't seem to get the auto focus to do its thing when using my Canon), I am happy with the result, especially considering I did not use any filters. . Continuing with the different species of Dark Nebula, here's some information about a species I invented based on the Thundercats (with a special appearance by a Twisted Wonderland OC I created for this multifandom). The Sylvesteros of the planet Amabana.

🦁APPEARANCE: The Sylvesteros are a semi-humanoid species that more closely resembles anthropomorphic animals. They are all carnivorous predators that live in warm, humid environments, such as jungles or savannas.

🦁ORIGIN: Because of this, they are a very aggressive species, prone to violence, which has caused a birth rate crisis in recent times, as females are now the predominant gender, being stronger and more aggressive.

🦁CUSTOMS: They live by the philosophy of "the strongest on top" and do not have a fixed bloodline. If the current leader is not favored by the people, they are challenged to a battle to the death, and the winner's lineage is considered royalty until the cycle repeats.

Because of this, they are beings who prioritize survival and dominance above all else, going so far as to create traditions such as cutting off tails (of those who have them) as they are a very obvious weakness. Such is the case of Tor-rá.

🦁NEEDS: They are all carnivorous predators, so they consume a large amount of meat (mainly fish and their livestock equivalent). They burn a lot of energy through combat and exercise, so they are extremely strong physically, and they also have long claws that they sharpen to prevent excessive growth.

🦁OTHER/S: Zha-rí was chosen as the next queen by Tor-rá because she did not want to have children, so she chose her because she was the daughter of one of her trusted commanders.

Siguiendo con las distintas especies de Dark Nebula, aquí un poco de información sobre una especie que invente basada en los Thundercats (con la aparición especial de un OC de Twisted Wonderland que hice multifandom para la ocasión). Los Silvestros del planeta Amabana.

🦁APARIENCIA: Los Silvestros son una especie semi-humanoide que se asemeja más a animales antropomorficos. Todos son depredadores carnívoros que viven en ambientes cálidos y húmedos, como pueden ser selvas o sabanas.

🦁ORIGEN: Gracias a esto, son una especie muy agresiva y pronta a la violencia, lo que ha causado que pasen por una crisis de natalidad en tiempos actuales, al ser las hembras el género predominante ahora, siendo más fuertes y agresivas.

🦁COSTUMBRES: Viven de la filosofía de "el más fuerte arriba" y no tienen una línea sanguínea fija, pues normalmente si el líder actual no es del agrado del pueblo, es retado/a a una batalla a muerte, y el linaje del ganador es considerado realeza hasta que el ciclo se repita.

Gracias a esto, son seres que priorizan la supervivencia y la dominancia por sobre todo, llegando a extremos de generar tradiciones como cortarse las colas (de quien las tenga) al ser un punto débil muy obvio. Cómo es el caso de Tor-rá.

🦁¿NECESIDADES?: Todos son depredadores carnívoros, por lo que consumen una gran cantidad de carne (principalmente pescado y su equivalente de ganado). Queman mucha energía mediante el combate y el ejercicio, por lo que son extremadamente fuertes físicamente, además de contar con garras largas que afilan para evitar crecimiento excesivo.

🦁OTRO/S: Zha-rí fue elegida como la siguiente reina por Tor-rá porque ella no queria tener hijos, así que la eligió al ser hija de uno de sus comandantes de confianza.
